Thumbs Up Hello from Canada

To start, I goofed by not posting here first. Then, asked questions on old threads

Callsign: De Ober

Experience: Noob to airsoft, but have played paintball for a couple years, although only a few times each year since I spent more time cleaning broken balls within the barrel than I did shooting at opponents. No other experiences aside from hordes of YouTube tutorial vids.

Gear: Zilch for airsoft at the moment, but heavily looking into HPA sniper systems and likely a G18c pistol.

In airsoft, I have a X7 Phenom, e-trigger, threaded extended barrel and Apex2 "hop up" mock silencer, full top rail with Swiss Army 1x5x35 illuminated G/R scope (great eye relief for full masks), extendable stock, HPA tank, CADPAT camo and vest, full mask, low profile and mini cap hoppers.

Planning to swap out the camo for the Multicam camo. I would add a custom made ghillie top at some point I imagine.

Other hobbies: It was paintball, but I'm done with washing paint off my gear every time. Ain't nobody got time for that. Movie buff - watching Lone Survivor as I type. (it was a great movie) Playing, or watching Basketball and the typical socializing with friends and some alcohol. We have the highest # of bars per capita in Canada I'm told.

Where do you reside: Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada

Nice stock

I wish I could see your rifle up close in that photo. Is that real wood, or just a custom paint job on it? It looks nice. I'd like to buy a custom stock from the fellow at Rangers Customs sometime that looks similar to that.

Actually it's a Mossy Oak rifle wrap for real steel hunting rifles. Every once in a while after hunting season Walmart will liquidate these for dirt cheap. Careful though, there's one style for shotgun, and one for rifle...make sure you get the rifle one or you'll run out of material. It's applied with a heat gun and a whole lot of patience. This is the third year year that it's been on the rifle and it hasn't even cracked yet! If you want to take it off, you just peel it off. It's water proof, cleans up with a rag, good stuff...and cheap too!

Oh, one useful tidbit, disassemble the rifle and do the wrap to each half of the stock separately. That will let you wrap around the seams so that when you put the rifle together the material is tucked into the seams and will be less likely to fray or shift with air bubbles. Have fun!
