i thought we where going to have a bad day but it was awesome!:D it gave me lot's of time to sneak up and give me long range shot's:D

DON'T ADD ANY MORE JUTE!!!
Only things I see missing are pieces of gutted paracord/pipe cleaners/rubber bands for attaching veg and a good ghillie wash/weathering process...maybe replace some of the jute with a few pieces of burlap, but don't add any more material or things will get hot in the summer.

I got this protip from Liberty Tree:
Slightly dampen the jute/burlap (I use a spray bottle) and rub it against concrete or rock, any porous surface will do, in round sircular motion. Once youre done the shine is gone, the strands look puffier and more natural plus once it dries up it changes how the jute looks.

Hope this helps but all in all you have a GREAT suit in progress

You are right Grande.
There is still a lot work. Bad for me, I don't have much time now.
Work (it's hot time now), family (me and my wife waiting for a baby in oct/nov).
Will be happy to complete my suit for next season.

Maybe replace some of the OD on the hat with natural colored jute to give it a lighter look.
We did a color test with different shades of ghillie suits and the lighter ones always managed to blend in at a distance, darker ones looked more like a blob, ocim bloha.
Veg on a light base looks more natural than on a darker base.

My First Try

So this is my first attempt at anything ghillie, i went for a hood style. Constructive criticism is welcome and encouraged!
I apologize for the sub par pictures!

I like the bald spots for easy vegetation attachment.

Personally, I prefer shorter jute strands on the arms. Keeps me from getting stuck to thiings when lying in the prone or trying to move brushes in the thicket. That and I like to keep the strands near my eye pro shorter to prevent obstructing my vision entirely. However, its all about how it works for you. I find that after a game or two I have to make some small cuts to prevent jute from getting in the way.

Overall, looks solid for a good lightweight ghillie. Give it a nice wear in to get that jute a bit more natural looking and with a bit of "puff" to make it look less flat.

Post more pics once you get some veg attached so we can see!

Huge fan of the viper hood. Got any pics running it with your kit? Any plans for adding a backdrape of any sort?

I've bought it directly from Tactical Concealment. (Yes, I've sold my leg and arm)

i rather have cobra hood so my back is also covered^^ BUT nice color m8!
greenearwax: i would take i bit shorter strings, some more colors and more jute/burlap to make it more bulky. that's my opinion, making it bulky gives you a better silhouette
mine is as you can see very bulky (and hot) BUT very effective because a lot o the times people can't spot me while even crouching :p i don't have that "human" form, and while lying down phroned it's just badass:p

NOW,

pic of me after a whole day of playing last weekend, so i lost some veg ofcourse^^
