Best Barrel diameter + Gun Question

What is the optimum barrel diameter in a TBB? I have heard conflicting reports that 1) a tighter barrel, such as 6.03-6.01 is the best, or 2) a looser barrel, such as 6.08 is better. Which is the better diameter. I am considering a 6.03.

Also, which gun would you pick?

The ECHO 1 M28, or
THe Snow Wolf M24

Help!!

Firstly, it depends on your fps, what you want the rifle to do and what ammo you use.

The wider, the more accurate at long ranges, but less powerful.

The tighter, the more powerful but less accurate, but you'll need much higher quality ammo. A tighter barrel will be more accurate at close ranges too.

6.03 is a good choice, and I would go with the Echo 1 after seeing reviews. I don't know much about either of them to be fair though.

Judging by the current actual size of the BBs, around 5.95mm, the best barrel diameter is 6.03mm.

Tighter doesn't always mean less accurate.
It's all about their built quality.
Madbull 6.03 vs Madbull 6.01 vs Prommy 6.03
Prommy will beat both, Madbull 6.03 will beat Madbull 6.01.
PDI 6.01 vs Prommy 6.03, roughly the same.

E1 M28 after seeing the review?
Bunch of slam firing within 1000 rounds?
Piston and sears wear out fast.....
Proprietary parts^

Get the JGW M24

Well, MOST of the reviews on guns are open box/backyard shooting.
They pretty much write the review on a brand new gun instead of a battle tested gun.

Take ASF (airsoftforum.com) for example.
If you go to the sniper rifle section, you can see lots of threads about the M28s having issues, most of them are slam firing.

As someone who actually had the Echo 1 M28, I would recommend against it, unless you purchase it with the intention of putting in a new set of sears immediately. I managed to get mine to start slam firing within one day of skirmishing.

In addition, you'll need to replace the piston and spring guide fairly soon as well, since they are plastic.
