CA M24 Mags vs. APS2
This issue has popped up several times on these boards..
I have both the CA M24 and the M99 their mags are very similar. but not exactly.. and in comparison to the APS2 completely different. OK here are the specs.... ![]() M24 mag 100mm long 21mm wide 42.80mm tall (BB feeding post) M99 mag 100mm long 21.50mm wide 45.15mm tall (BB feeding post) APS2 mag 109mm long 21.90mm wide 52.50mm tall (BB feeding post) Now as you can see they look pretty similar but the specs show otherwise.. and the biggest problem I see in incompatibility is the width of the BB feeding post.. as seen below... the mag may fit the mag well but then not fit into the hop-up unit. As is the case with trying to use an M24 mag in the M99 with stock hop-up. ![]() You need to be careful in finding the right ones... but that's if you can find them at all.. I have had a great deal of trouble finding them.. my suggestion is go to your local dealer & have a custom order placed directly to CA. Good Luck and should you find them please send me a PM so I can order spares... Hope that helps you and everyone else be spared from the head ache's it has caused me. |

CA M24 Mags vs. APS2
I have to throw this here.
APS2 sv and CA m24 mags are compatible. The feed-lips are 1-2mm to short in the CA version, but works fine on a aps2 sv (or aps2 OR, aps2 EX rifle). |

CA M24 Mags vs. APS2
From experience. There are 2 types of aps-2 out there. The L96 look a like and a Steyr SSG 69 look a like. The steyr aps-2 or a aps-2 SV is like a CAm24 with some minor differences. The OR is just the same thing as the SV, but with a longer fluted barrel and the EX is with adjustable hopup chamber. Here are some pictures to explain the things:
![]() Top left a normal maruzen aps2-sv magazine, top left hybrid between Maruzen and the CA, bottom is a CA m24 mag. ![]() Here you can se that the feeding lips are 1-2mm to short. I have placed the maruzen feeding lips to the mag on the left cause the old one broke. So its a hybrid between CA and maruzen. ![]() Last picture. |

CA M24 Mags vs. APS2
I have just fitted M99 mags to my M24.
All i did was file out the magwell slightly at the ends and opened up the slot where the mag clicks in, they seem to work fine! I believe my M24 is the new breed version with the textured body and im using stock hop unit |

I have a CA M24 and when ever I am down to my last shot, I accidentally ram the bolt into the follower. I have broken over four them and never have this problem with my Echo1 M28.
The follower in the APS2 looks more robust than the CA ones. But it does not look it will fit. Are there better aftermarket M24 magazines. I was told before I bought the CA M24 it is fully APS2 compatible. |
