M24 Gen Questions + Upgrades

Hey everyone!

I've been researching for my first BASR, and the CA M24 has caught my eye. I like the way it looks, and from a guide I read, it's rated as a higher end rifle.

I still have some questions which I couldn't quite find the answers to though:

What is the stock inner barrel length on the civilian model (non-fluted correct?)?

From my understanding any part that is for "APS2" would work?

When using an AEG barrel, do you still use a GBB bucking? I was thinking of purchasing the PDI hopup chamber linked below and upgrade the bucking and barrel as my first step.

PDI Hop-Up Chamber APS2 Type 96 - $89.00 : AirsoftParts.ca, Airsoft Parts Canada | Online Store

And the last thing I've read in certain posts and guides is that you can't tune a CA M24 to get the accuracy a TM VSR-10 could get. Personally I don't believe this, but I'd like experienced knowledge on the matter, because if it is true, I wouldn't consider this rifle.

Thanks for your help, and if anyone has any other points of advice, I'd love to hear it, cheers!

~James

Better choice is A&K M24 or the Cyma M24. They already have steel trigger mechanism and they are VSR compatible mostly. Also cheaper.

I'll look into those as well then. Thought the CA has a fantastic trigger mech to start with as well. For me the price difference is 100$ between these 2 guns.

Definitely go with A&K, it needs less upgrade parts to withstand a powerful spring and it's cheaper. I was considering getting one myself some time ago and it was my second choice (after VSR/BAR-10) in the "spring-powered rifles list"; went with a gas rifle in the end :)

Greetings!

I have a CYMA M24 (cm.702) and i'm looking for some parts for it. I've got no manuals for the gun in the box it came so i have no clue - it is APS, right? Or is it APS-2, or is there no difference. There are no youtube videos also (disassembly etc.).
I have found some hop up chambers that i think they would fit, but i'm not 100%

- http://sgh-airsoftshop.nl/index.php?...product_id=193

The first one it says is APS2, the second one wont fit on stock barrel (so i kinda need a barrel too).
The barrel length should be somewhere around 487mm (measured). 6.03 - 6.05 is enough? I could also take a longer one, but i do not know how to take off the end cap on the outer barrel. (but i got a metal silencer adapter so it should go off - don't know how)

I wouldn't change the spring (yet) since it's around 370fps w/.30g. I would switch the piston and spring guide (is the stock cylinder ok?) for this one:
- APS Upgrade Set

I would really appreciate any help since i'm kind of new to upgrading the replicas.

From what I understand the Cyma M24 is actually an M28. To confirm this, contact me or even post the measurments of the piston. I have various stock pistons to compare to. No matter what, I can make you a piston for it. Just need to figure out the measurments.
