G-Spec Upgrading sugestions please

Hello guys. Im sry in advance if im posting this in the wrong section.
I just got myself a "used" (it shoot no more then 300bbs) JG G-Spec for 50€ or so (few years ago i would convert it into $ for easier comparison.. but current value of $ and € are atm so similar i wont bother doing it... this 50€ are actually 53.7$ .. so really not that much difference..) ...

I have done quite a bit of shooting in this 8 years i play airsoft. but not that much with a sniper. .. I was mostly using my TM AK47. But i think its time for a change now. id like to try something new, and im quite confident a sniper rifle would fit my playing style.

Anyhow, this is where i have a problem. I want to upgrade my G-spec. But i dont have much experience with it. I did quite a bit of research on it. mostly on this forum but i checked many others reviews and forums to.

I dont want to go "with head thru the wall" with the build (at least not yet), spending 500€ and such. So i decided to keep it in a 200€ (+\- 50) budget.

Like i said, i was reading quite alot about this lately. And this is the list of upgrades i would make (considering my knowledge so far).

WHAT I AM HOPING FROM YOU GUYS, IS TO RECIEVE SOME FEEDBACK ON THE LIST OF UPGRADES IM PLANING TO MAKE. SOME TIPS, EXTRA HELP. TOUGHTS... anything would be more then apreceated.
(if i choose some wrong incompatible parts, if i forgot about something, if i added to much stuff on the list.... Maybe some aditional low budget homemade upgrades i can make?.....)

LIST OF PLANED UPGRADES :

Hopup Chamber: Action Army -54€
Hopup Bucking: Maple Leaf 70 Degree -11€
Hopup tensioner/Spacer: Maple AEG Spacer -7€
Barrel: Action Army 6.03mm x 470mm -26€
Barrel Spacers: or Homemade or Action Army -15€
Trigger: CNC ZERO TRIGGER SET FOR VSR RIFLES AND COPIES - VER. 3 -80€
Piston: ....IN SET....
Spring Guide: ....IN SET...
Spring: Action Army VSR-10 M170 -12€
Cylinder: Stock (from what i mostly read is more then strong enough to be used even with a fully tuned rifle).

current total: 210€ (but if i include the shipings im at around 240-250€ i think... not rly sure atm from how many different sites i would have to order...)

PS: Any sugestions on... or best Tips for easiest bolt pull posible ? ---> i think i already found my answer..is it a teflon cylinder?

NOTE: Im planing to only order things from europe. Because buying from Asia or Us is just the same price for me at the end after i pay all the extra taxes).

Thank you in advance! Cheers!

Good choice on the Hopup.
Everything's great here, if the trigger is made by airsoftpro you should be set.

Teflon cylinder doesnt make the pull easier, only smoother. I think PDI springs can make it easier, not sure though.

Otherwise, the only thing that will make the pull easier is a lighter spring.

Trigger set is by airsoftpro ye, the only problem is i cant find any in stock. nowhere. and those few shops that had expected restock times posted on their page, the closest one was END of MAY.
Any good alternatives in this price range ?

thank you for the answer btw. So PDI spring then... Does anyone have a bit more info. about this ?

That's an issue. Maybe wait for them to be in stock?

There are better parts you could buy, but not budget friendly.

These include PDI, AA, Laylax Springer's, and EdGi.
Keep in mind that AA is a clone of Laylax (for the most part) and cheaper, so when I say AA it will take their Laylax counterparts in consideration.

Here's a list of them from best to worst:
Barrels: EdGi, PDI, AA
Trigger: (Really opinion based), but I'll say PDI and Springer's tied with AA in the back.
Reason for this is that Springer's is just a better version of AA. PDI has a much simpler system than Springer's, but in return has a tougher pull (that can easily be modded.)
Hopup: AA, TDC, PDI + Laylax.
Not much to say here. AA did not clone their hopup, so it's their own design.
TDC is simple and effective.
PDI and Laylax take AEG barrels, and the PDI can be modded to have the same performance as the AA but it's not worth it. It can also be TDC'd, and once the mods are done it does perform better than a stock chamber with TDC but its time consuming.

Cylinder Assembly: EdGi + PDI, AA
EdGi has the benefit of warranty, and also having tighter threads.
PDI has the benefit of bore up, heavier piston, cheaper shipping, tapered cylinder head, extended threading (to my knowledge, I think they set it further back or extended it. Threads look even more extended in bore up, but this is based on images.)
PDI also has the Palsonite finish and 13mm springs.

I'd say go PDI here, but that is my opinion.

PDI has the con of no warranty (which you won't need), looser thread class (won't matter too much), and the yen kinda jumps around. For example, a cylinder set was 150$ a few days ago and now it's 155$.
Just cross your fingers it wasn't 220$ like it was a few years ago :P

This is just for you to know. I don't expect you to buy these things right away, but keep this in mind when choosing better parts (probably won't need them.)
And if you want something special, there are one piece receiver and outer barrels. Also upgrade bolt handles, end caps, and trigger guards.

ok i think i have most things set now :

Hopup Chamber: Action Army
Hopup tensioner/Spacer: Maple AEG Spacer
Barrel: Action Army 6.03mm x 430mm
Trigger: CNC ZERO TRIGGER SET FOR VSR RIFLES AND COPIES - VER. 3
Piston: ....IN SET....
Spring Guide: ....IN SET...
Spring: ...IN SET... (m170)
Cylinder: Stock

the only thing im still having problems with is figuring out which Maple Leaf to use. i dont mean a degree,i think ill go with 70. I mean which type, there are so many out there i have no idea which one to choose

Go for the monster diamond or the (newer version of it) Autobot. 70°is about right for around 500-550fps setups iirc.

Yup, the diamond is the best one. I'd also go with 60 degrees but 70 will also work.

Thanks for help guys. Site i am ordering from only has Autobot70, autobot75 and autobot80 .. so i guess 70 is the one for me, considering you would go even lower.

This is called Diamond shape and improove mainly shooting range. <----- i copy\paste this from the shop site. It is writen in a way that makes me think this bucking will barely help me with accuracy (which i think i need more then extra shooting range).. AM I WRONG ABOUT THIS? i really hope i am tho.

EDIT: forgot to ask 1 thing ----> Action Army VSR10 Chamber Stopper

this is the only thing left im not sure if i will need when asembling my rifle. Or u get this in the hopup chamber already and this are like replacement parts ?

Yes, the story ML comes up with regarding some buckings improving range and others accuracy is bullshit. Better buckings improve accuracy, not range, range is determined by bb weight and muzzle energy ;)

Watch the video I linked for the full explanation regarding ML's, or alternatively, read this thread

great. Thank you again! This forum and you guys are awesome.
Ive read so much of the forum since i discovered it. But there are so many topics and tips and guides.

But just reading it isnt as effective as someone actually explaining it to me. I hope this didnt sound wrong.

Example: Ive checked 1tonnes guide about the barrel bb and fps bb ratio at least 100 times in the past few days while building myself a gun.

and i kinda have an idea which BBs i would have to use. but im nowhere near sure about that. Id love if one of you could advise me on this as well.
note: i know i wont be able to know this properly untill i build the rifle and test it for fps. But just tell me roughly if you can...which BBs would you predict i will have to use in my gun once upgraded ?
asking only because i would like to order the BBs withe the kit already, dont wanna pay 20€ shipmeent fee 2x :) TY

btw what about the Action Army VSR10 Chamber Stopper ... So i dont need this part to build my gun right ? XD

At your fps, use .4+.

No, you won't need that part, as long as you already have the AA chamber itself. That part is a replacement part.

Great. now i have everything i need in the cart, and 0,4 bbs it is then :)

unfortunatly the shop where me and my team are buying from, doesnt sell normal 0,4bbs. Sry, it does but out of stock atm.

so what would you suggest now, going with the 0.43 or 0.36 ? my guess would be 0.43 since u said i should be using 0.4+ , just making the final check :D So if i get a chance i should buy 0,4 but till then i could go with 0.43 :)

I'd stick with the ML in anything that takes VSR style buckings, yeah :)
