Just received my KJW M700

Just got my KJW M700 in the mail, got a great deal from mccl2278 for it. (Thanks again!) Was having some problems filling the Tanaka mag that came with it however. I'll charge it for about 5-6 seconds with propane and then take it out, but I haven't been able to get to the end of a magazine without running out of gas. I've tried doing it a bit longer but I don't want to break the thing. So if anyone has any advice I'd appreciate it.

Sounds like leaking o-ring. Could be in the mag or with a seal in the gun. What fps is it shooting at? Try and gas the mag and listen for leaks or keep it filled for a few hours and come back and check it.

Couldn't tell you what FPS it's shooting at, its got to be leaking left it for 20 minutes and tried to get a shot off and all it did was click. I don't know if this is related but I took it out of the gun and it makes a little sound of gas leaking out so I don't know if that means anything.

Of what you are describing, it's a magazine gas leak. I've had many of these in a few of my GBB's and a Scar. You might have a torn o-ring inside of the magazine. There are tutorials of how to take apart your magazine to fix the leak if you want to try and do it yourself. You'll probably need o-rings or if its just out of place, to lube it very little and put it back in place.

It's not leaking. You're not filling it for long enough is the issue. Took the whole thing apart before I sent it. You won't break it by filling it for longer. 5-6 seconds is no where near long enough for a long mag.

Edit: Just realized you're using propane. I have nor ever will use propane. Honestly I dont know anything about it. If you can, grab some green gas and fill it with that and see if you still have the issue. Again, I only tested it with green gas and it could run the whole mag. Did that the day I sent it.

Just checked it again, its leaking out the back side of the mag pretty badly. I took it apart, lubed up the o rings, and teflon taped the gas cylinder. No change though, still can't make it through a whole magazine because of the leak.

Nope. Just lubed them up and put them back in the magazine. The mag almost never sounds right when I put it in the gun either, when I put it in I hear a sound of gas being released as soon as it clicks in. Maybe there is something wrong with both the mag and the gun.

Take the mag apart and lube it and try Teflon tape. There are 3 common places for it to leak, back of the mag, the intake valve, and the gas release. There should be videos on youtube of tutorials to show how to take it apart if you need help. Maybe try and hear where the leak is coming from or use silicon oil to see where bubbles form to narrow down where the leak is coming from.

Going to do everything in my power to make this right...

first off, how hard are you pushing the mag in? If you slam the mag, air will release out the top.

Secondly, Define "sound right" for me, please. Have you ever owned a KJW before, do you know how they sound normally?

Edit: I really wish you would have paid to insure it, then you could file a claim...
