Thumbs Up Long-time Listener, First-time Caller

Hey folks, you can call me J. I've been perusing your technical posts for quite some time now and thought I'd take the effort of actually making human contact with you fine people.

I've been playing airsoft for the better part of fifteen years, but picked up a VSR-pattern spring rifle about three years prior to being bit by the sniper tuning bug. Learned the hard, slam-firing way to not go for WELL, which paid dividends in teaching myself how to tear down and maintain a spring sniper rifle.

At present, I have what was a JG BAR-10 with most parts replaced with a variety of Action Army and Maple Leaf bits and a Novritsch SSG-10A1 dropped into an OD Maple Leaf MLC Stock, along with and SSX-23 and several other "backup" AEGs. I have previously ran a Tokyo Marui VSR G-Spec, Modify M24 USR150 and Classic Army M24 LTR, with varying degrees of dependable success with each.

I play most often at Ballahack Airsoft in Chesapeake, Virginia where I am often the Tallest One on the field, excepting one of their employees/Field Marshals.

Welcome to the show, J!

I agree, there is no good stock sniper rifle and they all end up being a mish mash of parts anyways...hahahaha

Bummer about being the Tallest One...kind of hard to sneak around, no? :)

Hey Zero, despite all this Tallness, most of my squaddies have a heck of a time either keeping up or finding me once I hunker down, since I've had to learn how to creatively maneuver around the copious amount of swamp trees and bunkers and the like. I've got a ghillie shrug I'm in the course of camo-yarning together with some regionally-appropriate leaves once quarantine breaks. Here's what I had thrown together for an outfit for day two of one of Ballahack's notable post-apocalyptic roleplaying games they put on, not exactly hiding but still folded up and passed out in one of said bunkers:

No attachement, J...but I can just imagine. I've watched the Ballahack videos and that's swamp alright! Creeps me out just thinking about it. hahahaha...(we're about as far from a swamp as you can get). Oh, and I agree...work your strengths, right? That's the whole idea. :)
