VSR and BB problems..

Hey Guys!

Im having a problem with what i think is my BB's.. I got Nuprol 0.40g bbs and after what i have heard, these should be OK+
The problem is that the BBs jam in the barrel(not the hopup).. I thought that the problem was that there was some type of liquid/moisture in my speedloader that made the bbs swell a bit. I then took new/fresh bbs from the bottle and tried again, but the problem remained.. I have now gone through 40-50bbs with a caliper, and 50% of the bbs are fine, 20% is ok-ish and the remaining 30% is utter crap.. With dia over 6.1mm at most -_-

I loaded 15 shots into my mag directly from the bottle, and i got a total of three jams.. -_- I need a cleaning rod to clear the jam every time, so it's gonna be unbearable on the field..

I did not have the problem the first week i got the bbs, but that may be pure luck.. idk..

My barrel-setup is a PDI 6.05 303mm innerbarrel with a R-hop and the Stock hopup chamber from my Bar-10 Gspec.

What is your guys input on this? Did I get a bad batch, or have any one of you guys also experienced this with the Nuprol .40's?
And what kind of bullets would you guys recommend?
Yes, I have seen the heavyweight bb database, but it's hard to tell which are the best because there are no summary or comparison.

All help is appreciated! :)

Your problem is the bb's then. You may have a bad batch, but I don't know. I have no experience with non-bio bb's...

I happen to know he uses 0,33g G&G bio, since in NL we have to use bio and these are usually in stock somewhere.

Yep, mostly .33g G&G bio :)

But non-bio .4g are better, if you can use them. Look into brands such as madbull or bbking. I've read good stuff about them, seem to be decent, especially when washed

I've read about the expanding of bbking as well. But I reckon you should be fine if you shoot them within a reasonable time after opening.

If you take a couple of months to empty a bag of 2000 you either have an extremely accurate setup and don't shoot much, or you're not playing as much as you should

Be aware nuprols are bbking rebrands and are capable of swelling too.

It is worth keeping a silica gel pack in there to help prevent moisture to an extent.

Nuprols are good BBS until they swell then sadly they are not so good

Ill remember the silica gelpack the next time.. :)

I have used about 2K bbs in around 3-4 weeks now, so ill say i shoot a reasonable amount ^^
Im gonna sort out the Nuprols i have now, and keep the good ones and put a silica gel pack in the bottle ;)

Thanks for the answers and tips guys! :)

I have some madbull .36g bbs laying around, but they are brown, so i can't see them when im shooting, so either my scope has to be 100% on point or else im screwd.. :P
I also have some black Devil Blaster .40g bbs, but those are even harder to spot..

Black bb's are annoying, yeah. Not impossible. If you shoot against a clear background (such as the sky) you can track them, but once you start shooting targets they become near impossible to see. It's a matter of knowing your gun and predicting the wind at that point.

They're impossible to see for your targets as well, so that's a good thing. But I prefer gray bb's

True that!
I really liked the King arms tan-ish .4's, but they went out of production after what ive heard.. They were harder for the enemy to spot, but also easy-ish to track in flight :)

Im still in the "testing mods" part with my Sniper, and I would prefer to see the bbs clearly so I can tell what they are doing. So im going to stick to white bbs for now, and possibly going to brown or grey if i can find them later on :)
