Best sniper rifle nub

Hello everyone.
I own an A&K SVD and I am planning to modify the hop up chamber to fit a new nub. As you probably know there are two chambers, one with a vertical nub (airsoftpro type), and other in which the nub is a small horizontal tube. I am planning in modify one of them to get a different nub fitted.
So I want to know what type of nub is the best for a +500fps sniper rifle. Perhaps flat nub or SCS type?

Thank you very much.

I think this will just come down to what bucking and setup you are using. If it's a maple, then what Reliku said. If it's an Rhop, M-nub. If it's a flat, then eraser or flat nub.

Off topic: has anyone tried using the maple leaf concave nub with a flat hop? I'm curious...

^ wouldn't work, flat hop relies on flat and even pressure, the concave nub provides concave pressure.

Well, maybe it'd work, I wouldn't know, but it wouldn't be the way flat hop is supposed to work

I might try it sometime.

That's what has me curious. I mean if it can deform a flat hop bucking into kinda like that concave shape that a maple has. Granted, might as well just get a maple at that point but hey, this is all about experimenting

edit: My only concern is that there might not be enough pressure/material to get the rubber down into the window...

I´m using a Falcon bucking. The one for the SVD, but perhaps will give a try to the r-hop. I have the stock barrel, but I will buy a deepfire soon, so I can experiment with the stock first.

The concave nub is ok for the Falcon bucking?

No, the concave is pretty much only suitable for the maple leaf.

Tbh, if ur on a small budget, get the maple leaf.

If you have the tools, skills or money, go for the rhop.

From my tests, i find maple to perform really good but the rhop still performs better.

As far as modifying the airsoft pro chamber I did that, using a chopped drill bit end, i made a tiny metal spacer, and cut a circular piece of sorbothane to be the nub, installed it sorbo onto the bucking, then metal spacer, then the dial ring that slides on the metal spacer and adjusts up and down. it worked really well, i had to make the existing hole larger to accommodate a larger nub for an rhop.

I modded the stock chamber to take 16 ga silicone wire insulation. its perfect as a nub for the job, just drill the existing hole larger, slide some in, and use the existing set screw, it gives even hop pressure because the silicone insulation flattens as the set screw pushes down. Silicone works well in the cold too. Either or works, modding the stock chamber is probably easier. I was never a fan of the nitrile cord that was used stock.

Thats what I´ve planned to do! Could you post a few pics?
I have a cheap PPS chamber (copy of airsoftpro´s) which I will mod. I will mod the circular nub hole into a square one to fit an m-nub. Then i will fix someway the circular original nub to the new m-nub to keep using the adjustment wheel. I shuld do a new shorter nub . I think it will do the job
FIrst I planned to do the mod on the stock one, but I think I will do it on PPS because is easy to find if something goes wrong.

Unfortunately i sold the rifle. But what you want to do with the rectangle should work. lay in a small rectangular sliver of mnub, and above it a smaller cylinder or square metal piece that is actuated by the rotary dial. take a look at the rotary dial inside though first and understand you can't make the nub too big or it won't catch inside the rotary dial
