In the end, it seems that the reason the whole "out of the box" solution works for Novritsch is that it appeals to people with limited time or interest to actually mod something. And oh yeah, kids, I bet kids buy his stuff up for his name alone. Honestly I was thinking about buying an SSG before I found this site.

Excelent review.

Confirmed my impressions: SSG24 may not be cheap, but Novritsch delivers quality.

I believe it is the only option (even today) to buy and use a stock sniper rifle. No thinkering needed...pretty much Steve Jobs logic.

You may have not read the whole thread. The original post did a mistake. They reviewed the old Modify M24 thinking it was the new one. The new one that is like the SSG is the Modify M24 USR150. So it has to have the USR150 on the end to be the newer version. The newer version, from what I have been able to see is like the SSG but with weaker spring. So the only thing you need to put in is a new spring. So it may not match the SSG but only because it needs a bigger spring. Any beginner can put in a spring.

Was reading this thread, hope I'm not bumping it.
Some one mentioned that 10/10 hit at head sized target at 75m is normal around here? Any backup info for that? 75m is hella far once you have a range finder... Once I took my range finder to the field people who claim 100m shots ended up realizing it's just 40ish meters...

No. Thats not normal. Most people don't know how to accurately estimate range via just sight so I'd take that figure with a grain of salt.

You can look at this thread to see some recent grouping comparisons I did with nubs. Thats at 50 yards max.

https://www.airsoftsniperforum.com/4...ave-nub-2.html

At that range you're already bumping up against the standard size of a face with groupings.

75m... Just speaking roughly Id say 8/10 hits man size would be good and 3-5/10 head shots. Lot of armchair bb gun snipers on internet forums, watch out.

8/10 at man size is far more reasonable... I was starting to doubt about my rifle that I poured so many hours and tears into. Thanks!

Indeed I was referring to the review itself. Thank you.

Even so, this “new version” is probably the result of Novritsch colaboration with them. So credits are deserved.

Could you kindly point me to this new version? I would like to read about it.

Sorry, I put USR150. It is actually USR130 or maybe USR150. In the write-up in the bottom of this link it says 150 but the title says 130.

But help me understand: if there was indeed an Airsoft gun called “Modify M24” and it was dismantled and reviewed, side-by-side with Novritsch SSG24, why you consider that the original poster made a mistake?

Second, if Modify really copied the SSG24 and launched a new version of their Modify24, which costs around US$ 420,00, why the Novritsch is considered the bad guy?

Thirth, have anyone actually dismantled and field tested this new “Modify24” (USR150) and actually can say for shure it’s the same as the SSG24?

I am genuinely confused by this.

its not entirely compied. Novy hired or probably made a contract/deal with Modify company to make the best BASR out of the box. It could even be that Modify hired Novy to be the face of SSG24 and gave him some share.
Novy definitely learnt few/all secrets about Mod24, then he improve it quite a lot and tweak it a little to turn Mod24 into SSG24. I believed Modify also has some share and get profits from selling SSG24, otherwise SSG24 would be out of the market by now. They can just stop supplying ssg24 and create their own version of as well/better ssg24. I watched youtube vids and I saw modify crews were the one designing and manufacturing everything for ssg24. but still SSG24 is the best BARS out of the box for now.

PS: I dont own ssg24. but I still think its the best out of the box but not the best sniper.

SSG24 was designed by Novyboy and modify in cooperation. He went there and worked day in and day out with their engineers to redesign their mod24 rifle into the SSG24 from a production scale. Something like 30+ changes. Ton of work done.

Aftermarket parts manufacturers just go all steel or alu cnc yadda yadda and throw money at it, but when you have to manufacture a complete rifle, that is not cost efficient. You work with the manufacturer to change failing parts in dimension or material so they are just OK enough to last.

The parts are expensive to redesign, but cheap to manufacture.

The production is then all done by modify and QC'ed before packing by Modify as well. Then it's shipped by Novy's company from a unit near/with Modify. Novy's company then QC's on returns and occasional production samples.
That's my guess.
