3D printed VSR-->M4 Mag adapter

So I looked at a few of the past VSR hicap conversion threads and they are interesting... but a bit complex. Then I saw the below from Thingiverse. Anyone have experience with this? seems like a really simple idea that will only require ~5 hours to print and zero modification to any gear at all.

Just run a DMR if you're gonna do that.

I mean it stands to reason if you play at a field that will allow that, they also probably won't bat an eye at a 500fps DMR.

I have one of those adapters, I let my friends use it when they play for the first time. I can’t stand how hideous it looks. It may give you more ammo but has a long mag awkwardly hanging there which can get in the way, especially when prone. 50 round AA mags are plenty for a bolt action, just carry a few of those. I totally support a DMR too, I second that option!

MagicMarker likes this.

Yeah seconding the 50rd AA magazines- I got by with a single Tanaka short magazine when I was younger...I rarely even use my second AA magazine.
It might look a bit more aesthetic and be a bit more functional though if you just use a short straight M4 magazine- definitely what I would do if I used it.

Yeah—I’ve been doing a bunch of sighting in and working on a few VSR builds and having a free option (Cost of filament) to use for Those teching days where you don’t want to focus on reloading.

Even with the 30rd VSR mags it’s not so much of a pain to reload during the game max 2-3 times.
