Novritsch Full thrust

Has anyone done any testing on the full thrust kit? Does it actually increase range and accuracy? I don’t want opinions but facts from actual testing, sorry if this was already discussed!!

I think it's been talked about a little on one of the novritsch threads in here. Theoretically, the large bb, which could use higher mass and a higher surface area for hopup could potentially increase max distance, don't know about accuracy though. One might also argue that there is more drag on the bb, but I'm no scientist! Sorry I can't give you any hard evidence, but if you wanna check the aforementioned thread, scroll just a little bit farther down on this subforum until you come to a popular novritsch thread. Not sure if it's there but I hope it helps!

[the following only applies to range and is not intended to comment on accuracy]

Basic mathematical physics equations prove that a a non-rotating sphere of equal density and initial energy will stop sooner the larger it is- so the only 'unknown' remaining is whether or not the Magnus Effect (hop-up) is retained longer for larger BBs to a point where it can compensate for the above fact.
Computer models have concluded that, even taking into account the Magnus Effect, larger BBs indeed travel shorter, not farther.

I respect your request for end-all be-all hard evidence via tests, but the above is so difficult to refute, that I would much sooner question a million different aspects of any contradictory "evidence"; two enormous factors being
- Claims sponsored by Novritsch
- Claims made by people who want to believe Full Thrust increases range
If someone posts a video claiming to prove that Full Thrust results in increased range, it needs to show the following all in one take, no cuts, and nothing ever going off-camera:
Indoor warehouse with no air current, ranges lasered, both rifles shown to fire with essentially flawless precision, ammunition measured and weighed before loading in each rifle, rifles tuned to overhop initially and slightly adjusted until reaching flat trajectories, chronograph reading for each rifle with appropriate ammunition...I'm sure I'm missing things.
And even then, there are countless flaws with the process, including the chronograph not reading accurately or precisely, the rifles being slightly different in accuracy (which technically directly corresponds to range), etc.
Essentially, if someone thoroughly proves that Full Thrust provides an increase in range given equal ammunition density and muzzle energy, then they're probably going to want to take those findings to physicists for a Nobel Prize or something.

Under 3J? Don't bother.

Above 3J? It may be easier to see a bigger bb past 200ft, but still, probably shouldn't bother.

I base this off of all the info I've read from others on the bookface, and the fact that this forum isn't inundated with new threads saying "OMG 120 yard shot with Full Thrust EASY!!!" There also haven't been any youtube videos of it being used with confirmed shots past the standard 50-70 meters.

Those last two parts tell me something. It's not a game changer and it isn't worth it.

I've not done the maths, but indeed, the principles agree with you. If there's one thing I've learned from novritsch's videos and his online shop, it's that he's an opportunist and cunning capitalist. A lot of his videos are click baited and the titles often don't reflect ones expectations of the video content. In his barrel test video, he never revealed his findings on which barrel(s) were best and only vaguely brushed over the bore sizes of them. Likewise on his website, there's little to no description of the specifications of these. He's pretty smart, and he knows the market well. The SSG was a great idea and filled a long standing void in the market, but it seems that he's pushing his status and name onto his products as much as he can.
