As01 Striker first upgrades, help

So apparently the best spring you can get for an as01 striker with stock parts is a m140? is that right or wrong and if it’s wrong what other spring is recommended?

An AS01 can reasonably safely handle an M140-M150 without any other upgrades.

That said, spring/fps upgrades are not the first thing you should be worried about, but the other departments (hop up, durability etc) instead.

What this guy says!! Get it shooting straight, and consistent, then worry about applying horsepower. The Striker is a great rifle. Nicely made, and can shoot very accurately. You have piles of hop options if you want to get creative (yes, you can r hop a Striker) and it can be a very viable rifle. You have to work its positives and work around its weaknesses. Even without alot of spring power you can still have a very accurate and quiet rifle shooting over 200ft (real feet, not airsoft feet)...nothing wrong with that at all.

Have to agree with both of these guys. I didn't have anything available except for a spring upgrade, and so that's what I did. I don't have the rifle with me and can't remember what it was but I believe I got it shooting up to 550fps on 0.2's, 400 with .32's (it's been a year since I've been reunited with this rifle). But as soon as I did that, started getting wild flying shots left and right. Get some barrel spacers first I would say at the very least, then a new hop unit or a new bucking, then a new spring. Can't wait to be reunited with mine in about a week when I can drop all my new parts in it.

it really need shorter outer/ inner barrel for better ratio.
I'm still looking a guide for mod the stock design 45* sear to 90*.

But first just focus on hop-up bucking and tinking with hop up arm for better adjust/ consitent.

S&T M40A3: m145 element ( cut fews coil ) spring, steel spring guide, stock modifed piston, action army hop-up chamber, R-hop, hephaesthus 6.03mm 455mm.
WELL Mb-08: Stock for now.

My friend made a mod and guide for that, it's as simple as filing down the real part of the sear that engages the piston.
But I would suggest not doing that and just buy the Edgi Triceratops sear or the one piece ball bearing sear.

Oh! I just remember a mod on the Striker I forgot to mention...I made a ball bearing spring guide for it. That helped quite a bit!

The first 2 upgrades every Striker needs are a better cylinder (either one piece or with welded pins) and a hop wheel.
The 01 in particular suffers from a wonky cylinder/barrel volume ratio, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing as it makes the gun super quiet.
Switching to a 90 sear is also a nice upgrade, but at this point I feel like you should have gone for the AS02, which already addresses some of the 01 issues (still needs a cylinder and hop wheel, but comes with 90 sears and a slightly better locking pin).

really?
edgi I can't buy here.
I read some reviews said the one piece ball bearing sear is not great. , got confused.

One piece sear was said to have ball bearings suspectile to wear but it hasn't been an issue for me so far
