Hophup Cm.700

Hi guys !
I'm going to buy the cyma cm.700 , in fact i love his look .

But i have only one question remaining ! In order to upgrade it , i can't find any information on the hophup unit compatibility , i read that it was proprietary sometimes and other times that it was pdi compatible ....

Can you explain to me guys , the reality of the matter ?

Thanks for your help and sorry for my bad english !

Have a nice day .

(edited from CM700 to 702 because I am an idiot and what I was referring to is the 702 instead)

CM702 is the clone of the M24 made by Snow Wolf but with a proprietary cylinder. Magazines are slightly different from the Snow Wolf but can be made to fit with some fitting.

PDI/X-Fire have some upgrades' stock left for the Snow Wolf M24 but they no longer actively make any of them.

AirsoftPro is the only one that is still actively making upgrades for the M24 and the only one making cylinder upgrades for the CYMA CM702. However their 3rd generation chamber design is nothing short of being complete garbage, that I have no idea why did they even make it like that in the first place.

Novritsch chambers similar to PDI can be used to build the CM702 as well.

If you really want an M24 based rifle, I would not suggest the CYMA as it has a weak but proprietary cylinder that can only be bought in AirsoftPro, and the outer material isn't great.

I would suggest just buy the Novritsch SSG24 (or to a lesser extent, the Modify Mod24) for its much better out of the box quality and guarantee for parts. Upgrading the Snow Wolf or the Cyma is a huge money dump that would be so expensive you'd better off just get the Novritsch in the first place.

Hi dude !
Yeah i understand ... but it's pretty difficult to find a ssg24 with a M40A5 look , and it is really expensive . The things that made me thing to buy the Cm.700 is the price of the replica . That would allow me to not psend a huge amount of money at the same time !

Oh, I am an idiot, I was thinking of the CM702 (M24 cloned from SW).

Then I would say you should get the CM700.

This is a clone of the S&T/PDI M40A3. It was said to be designed by PDI and made by S&T as "a highly competitive model at a very reasonable price (as described by PDI)".

The chamber is a proprietary two-arm chamber using AEG buckings (typical of PDI) and an inner barrel length of 455mm. While a pain in the ass to tune, it is extremely precise and does not have any real design flaws.

Cylinder is proprietary along with trigger, but both are steel anyway so not much to worry about.

Unlike what I just said about the CM702, The CM700 is an excellent gun with strong internals yet the price is right. However, I would suggest the S&T M40A5 as the outer barrel is better secured in that model.

Ah ! What a good news , thanks dude !

I think that i'm order one , with a nineball seal , a PDI barrel in 6.01 and some barrel spacers !

For the piston part ect ... I'm trying to discover if the Airsoft Pro kit is a good investment ... or not ! Do you have infromations about that ?

Same for the trigger block !

For now i'm gonna let the hophup untouched !

Overall thanks for your answers dude , it's very kind !

The rifle itself comes with 2 hard plastic spacers (extremely rigid and difficult as balls to take off for that matter), at least in the S&T model.

The S&T model uses VSR pistons and guide rods, with the spring being a tad bit longer than a VSR, so I think unless you are geographically close to Czech and can get Airsoft Pro stuff more easily, any VSR pistons or guide rods can be used. Or alternatively the upgrade set made by CYMA for this exact model.

Cylinder head is proprietary and has to be bought from AirsoftPro but that thing doesn't break very easily anyway.

I do not know much about the compatibility of the trigger.

Thanks dude ! I'm based in France so i'm going to order the Cm.700 and some upgrade parts . Certainly the Airsoft Pro parts .
I won't touch the hophup block until i know if it is compatible with something !

Here the answer of TG if it can help some people !

"Hi the internal are compatible with PDI. For the barrel and the hopup rubber there are AEG compatible"

Beside it's hard to find if a PDI hophup will fit in ....

Not entirely sure what you mean "if PDI hopup will fit in". The barrel and bucking are AEG spec and uses a design similar to PDI chambers. They are so far proprietary and cannot be replaced (not without some drilling at least).

Yeah i was saying that the hophup is proprietary and despite the fact TG customer service told me that it was compatible with PDI part , i don't think so and apparently i was right !
I was talking about the hophup block itself , i've read that the interior barrel and the bucking are aeg compatible .

About Cyma Cm700, you should read this:
Cyma m40a3!!! https://www.airsoftsniperforum.com/s...ad.php?t=25369

Jump to page 6, you can use Action Army type 96 Hop up chamber for this rifle with a little work.

If you can get things from Russia look into the Polygon 52 hopup unit for the Cyma 702.

Airsoft Rus also has a nice, very cheap hpa unit for this gun.
