Stupid Ares build?

Hey guys,
I've been toying with the idea of building a kneecapper from my Striker AS02.
For those who don't know, James @bespoke got the idea while reviewing the AS03, he swapped the useless and impractical pistol grip for a full size AS02 stock.

If we consider that a MK23, which has a 130mm inner barrel, can push 0.4s into the distance (60+ metres) while still being below 1J, I think that a 150mm barrel bolt action can definitely achieve the same legendary results.

What would you guys think?
Would it work?
The gun, being a 02 base (full cylinder) will be extremely overvolumed.

Typically, a Mk23 is not below 1J with .4s. If you're running green gas or propane you will easily be at 1.1, and more likely 1.3-1.4J.

Problem of the Kneecapper is that unlike an MK23 which is powered through gas (with almost all gas used to do nothing but fling that BB), all that power has to be provided by the spring, hence your muscles.

You definitely can make/buy the Kneecapper but IMO it is not a lot better than the already fairly overvolumed and compact AS02.

I have a 1J limit so I won't be using anything more than a M90/M100.

I thought that since performance should be the same (more or less), it would be nice to have a really compact package as my field is really dense in some parts.

As Tenshouyoku said, it will work but you need a big spring. The combination of the big spring and short barrel should keep you under 1J.
