Classic army sr40 stock polymer quality?

My local shop is having a sale and the sr40 is going for half price (about 50usd), I might get it but honestly just for the stock because I already have a tuned vsr that I can drop into the ca stock, is the CA polymer good? is it worth 50 bucks just for the stock?

They are decent stocks. Very good fitment for Vsr parts like mags and such. Even at $100-$120 for the full rifle (back when I bought one new) is a good price. For $50 totally worth it. Only gripe would be an “m40” style stock that isn’t distinct enough. Ditched mine after the Maple Leaf arrived.

I did the same as you propose to do, I found the stock really good but had to file and faff about to get the AA mags to fit and feed well

uh oh, I exclusively run AA mags, what exactly did you have to do to get the AA mags to fit?

I had zero issues with my aa mags, in fact, Marui and aa mags worked great!! Not too tight and not too loose. Just perfect so that changing mags with gloves wasn’t and issue!

Could’ve just been the “batch” of stocks or mags. But there are a few things that can affect mag fitment. You can sometimes loosen the mag block screws and shift the mag block very slightly. It can change the tolerances a tad where the feed section of the mag goes against the mag block and into the chamber. I always try adjustments before breaking out the sandpaper and dremmel!
