But I don't want to bring that discussion once more. All I know is that, for me, the Crazy Jet proved to be great for pistols.
As I can recall it was actually tested using a sort of marking dye used by machinists that was either on the bb or the top of the barrel and that's where it was marked.

Can't remember where those images are though.

Funny how almost every time this topic comes up, I have suggested doing that exact test and to post results. No one here has done that yet. I will post mine, once I get a bore scope that fits my barrel. Oh and that is going to cover HPA, Spring, AEG, GBB pistols, NBB pistols. Widebores and tightbores....

I spoke to a friend who knew the guy who did the test, and I quote..

Well now mine will be, once I get a small enough bore scope.

If people want to call BS on what I post, let them. The only way I will accept that I am wrong is with a physical build with a parts list and applicable settings, that is field legal and gameable, so your results can be duplicated.

No simulated models, no equations. Physical build or STFU.

Now, enough with the thread derailment.

Well, guess I'll necro this thread for everyone coming from a search...

I've been experimenting with these barrels for quite some time now.

In pistols they are leaps better than any other thing. I've installed it in 10 pistols so far, with amazing results every time. Even when compared to top tier barrels like PDI, the crazy jet always provided the best results.

In my personal gun (WE Makarov with Autobot 60 and ML I-key glued to the hop arm) and shooting from a rest, I'm getting the same results as a sniper shooting 30m targets. With a freaking 80mm inner barrel. They are THAT accurate.

So seriously, I think every pistol deserves a ML Crazy Jet.

For full-length guns, they work amazingly well, on par with tier 1 barrels. Not leaps better than any other as they are on pistols, and definitely not as far ahead of their rivals as their buckings are, but certainly an extremely good barrel that has nothing to envy from an EdGI or a PDI, which costs more than twice it's value.

So again, not I would recommend them for every build without a doubt, just don't expect the sort of voodoo you get on pistols.

Here's a little review by Cleanshot

I have been watching your posts Dimitri and you have got me now wondering if I should purchase one.
One question is, do you sell these barrels yourself? Or do you get any freebees for promoting them? If not cool, I will get one.

When I swapped my PDI for the ML CJ barrel(In a Hi-capa gbb), I didn't notice any difference.
So I'm not sure they are miles better, but comparable(In my case) to a good PDI barrel.

Lol I don't sell anything, nor do I get any freebie or sponsorship. I'm just a GBB + sniper tech, and got some love for the things that actually work.

And man, those barrels really work. As I said already, I wouldn't dare to call them better than PDI or EdGi (yet) for full length guns, but they are at least on par, which is big words for a $50 barrel.

how come every time I recommend something, people think I trying to sell it?

I guess my question on the crazy jet is cleaning. I don't own one, but I suspect that sleeve area eventually earns some build up. Especially if you're running any cleaning solution down the barrel with a cleaning rod & cloth. Fiber and dirt build up sounds like a problem in the long run. God forbid it takes a dip in some sand or mud in a skirmish. Do they come apart for cleaning?

Those walls look pretty thin, I'm also worried a drop, barrel dive, or misshapen bb might bend or dent those collars and change the airflow characteristics of the "jet". At that point, it would subject the BB to irregular wind/pressure conditions right out of the muzzle.

Cleaning hasn't been an issue for me so far. It's fine if the "jet" part isn't 100% clean since there's only air going through there, it doesn't contact the bb.

It's like any other ported barrel I think.

And about dropping... well, ever dropped a barrel straight on the crown? No good... Same goes for the crazy jet

Most of the time, the slide, outer barrel, or muzzle accessory protects from a direct impact, but I'm more concerned about field debris. With a non-ported barrel, you run some solution and a cloth down it. With ported, you'd be pushing it into the slots.

Is there enough clearance in the sleeves to get something in there? Just blast it with a can-o-air?

I am probably the main instigator with this. The reason I was sceptical was because when you recommend something, you are normally very, very positive about the item. I guess that is just part of your personality.
But your answer above settles it for me. You are just a very keen techy and that is great for our community.

Glad to hear that. And thank you for those words :)

Which gun are you gonna be running it? Which barrel does it currently have?

Never thought of that, so I just checked the ones I had at hand. 2 pistols and 2 rifles with 3 - 5 months of use. All of them seem to be really clean, just by the regular cleaning (alcohol embedded cloth). The 4 grooves in all barrels seem to be perfectly clean.

BTW, the 4 grooves that connect the brass barrel to the aluminum sleeve are quite long, and takes most of the diameter. So I don't think this will be a real concern.

But i'll keep an eye on it and report if I find any issues in the long run. Thanks for the heads up!

I am going the run it in my VSR10 which currently has an Action Army 6.01mm x 410mm (I use BLS 0.45gm bb's). So it should be a straight swap out in dimensions and I should give a pretty accurate comparison.

I've never heard of that retailer before, but I'm glad I did! It's so great to see a wide range of parts ACTUALLY in stock without ridiculous shipping. I might pick one of these barrels up (and a couple of cheap ML buckings!) and see how it goes since I kinda screwed up my AA barrel
