Wow. Hope the health picks up a lot better. That was a real that life threw at you.
Hope your daughters wedding was not too marred by it.

Sorry to hear about that, brother... That's some major manure!! Yeah, time to drop a gear and think about things a little, I guess. Glad to hear you're still on this side of the gate. Oh, and thanks for the not so friendly reminder to think harder about the next decade or so. hehehehe....

I finally sold off my AEG's a week or so ago (the EBR and the BAR), now I just have the Thompson and a Combat Machine left to go. I'll be keeping the bolt gun just for plinking, but my airsoft days are done. We've had an unusually humid summer here this year and it's been a bitter reminder of how much tissue damage I actually have. Number of games played this summer? NONE. Number of flights on the RC plane? PILES!!! hahahaha... Sometimes we have to just re evaluate and prioritize, y'know?

I took the money from the guns and bought a really sweet scroll saw. I think I'm going build myself a wood and canvas nitro powered Sopwith Camel. hehehehe....the body is ruined but the brain never stops...

Be well, good sir...

I've even gone as far (in my head) of dealing with the prop timing problem, or in the case of the Camel, just firing over the top of the wing like they used to (also avoiding the prop timing problem). If I had a P38 Lightning I could just load the whole business into the center fuselage and be done with it. Then again, never say never, right? With the advent of modern EPO foam, the possibilities are endless...

I'll have to check that YouTube link once I get home...our remote internet is a little too remote for video here at the office. hahahaha...I can't wait to see this... :D

Oh, and another thing I've been studying closely is RC/airsoft tanks...so much potential there.

I had the thought of an rc tank with a balloon attached to some tube with a pressure switch. So the tank could be "taken out" without someone kicking it or trying to smash it or something stupid. Also would be a cool concept for a tank battle "Tank vs Tank".

The other crazy thought I had was making a RC sniper turret. Something smaller that could be camouflaged really well (ghillied up) and quiet. Could be planted overlooking trail or better yet sneeked in range of a fort. Be able to take shots out to 70 yards. The thought was to use a modded TM mk23 and good solid base (staked in to keep it light weight). Or use an electro-pneumatic system. Using an arduino as the control unit. It would need two cameras as well, one wideish angle to look around with and another zoomed scope camera (maybe the one actually look though a scope). Never gotten past just thinking about it as time and cost prohibits me at this point of my life.

Donít even get me started on tanks, some of those things look awesome. Recently I have stepped back from airsoft & gotten back into RC. Doing research I causally stumbled across some crazy tank builds with working airsoft cannons. Definitely a lot of potential there but the plane idea really tickles my fancy.

I wonder how well the bbs would stay on target with the added wind resistance from the plane? Iím imaging they would fly off wildly
