The only fate worse than death is stagnation...

Well, after much careful thought and review, I locally posted all me AEG's for sale. Yep, the hot ones, with mods installed and everything. A complete clean slate if you will.

I was evaluating them over the weekend, and they're good. Really good. But as discussed recently, can we do better? Nothing ventured, nothing gained, right? So...how about we start from scratch. Well, not quite, I have a stock Combat Machine left so let's put all the eggs in that basket and see what happens. We're cleaning the bench right off and starting over. Right now, I just have the Combat Machine and a bag of .3's....to be honest, it sounds rather refreshing.

I have no games scheduled this summer and this is purely a science project, so if it takes a year, sure! Why not? What if the itch happens to go jump into the pool? No biggie...I said AEG's. not BASR or pistols. hahahaha. We're not completely out of the deal. I just find AEG's a fascinating platform with alot of variations and possibilities. The lowly Combat Machine being 'Ground Zero' is an excellent starting point. Sure, let's build one MONSTER AEG.

Wow, just posting the ads feels better already...

Better make it good since there’s gonna come up some new competition if they can hold their gun straight.

Y'know, part of winning is knowing when to quit...maybe that time has come. hahahaha. But, to my advantage, rifle sales in this part of the world are very slow so it may take a couple of years yet to sell these. :)

Excellent point, except I don't want to ship them. When I sell a rifle I prefer to spend a few minutes with the prospective owner and go over pros, cons, and of course get them to fire it. It takes all the guesswork out and makes sure that both parties are good with the deal. If we're both there, and we both examine the rifle, and all the mods (and quirks) are explained, then you can have no less than 100 percent satisfaction guaranteed. I know the rifle left in perfect condition, and they received it in perfect condition, so there can't be a dispute after.

This isn't to say the gun is a turd, but in the case of an EBR, the trigger is slow. It'll never be a tap and shoot (it's NOT a CQB gun!). You can say that until you're purple, but someone will buy it, then two days later say 'the trigger is slow, I think it's broken'...and the fight starts. This way, it was explained, it was demonstrated, there are no reasons to contest anything.

Not only that, but if I sense hesitation in the deal or potential apprehension about it (body language speaks volumes), the deal is off. I never want anyone to say 'that *** sold me a *** gun'. Ever. Even then, it did happen a couple of years ago after a swap meet. A guy bought an AK I just finished. we chrono'd it, ranged it, and I even regretted selling it. It was a swap meet and alot of people liked that gun, but this dude was first. Anyhew, yep, all enamored with it but a week later I get a message saying what a piece of poo it was. I offered to take it back, no questions asked, and yet the guy refuses. What's up with that?

So...in the interest of not creating bad blood (which can still happen anyways), deals in person only. Sorry, man...

Hahahahaha!!! It would seem that a few people want that setup. Funny you should say that, I was ranging it out on Friday for old time's sake and man, does it shoot...so, I had to stop by the local shop on my way home and check out a P90 that Dan just finished up (colossal gun for a shorty I must say ), and he wanted to take a swat with the EBR. Well, the ensuing expletives were most encouraging. It's always fun when someone shoots it for the first time. hahahahaha.

Regardless, the gun remains unsold. It sits...in the closet...nobody's ponying up the dough (I had it as cheap as 350 bucks to see if anyone would get off their donkey and snap it up), and yet...they go buy a stock Krytac.

Oh well, I'm seriously thinking about hitting up the local field tomorrow night. All I have to do is sit in the back corner and light 'em up.

ADDENDUM: Tomorrow's forecast has been updated to rain...it's been raining for four weeks here...why not, right? Oh well, in another 7 weeks we're back to snow anyways...*sigh* I guess we'll be staying home, again...
