He hit me really good in the elbow though. Got me on the funny bone and now it is hard to move my elbow. May a bruised bone or something like that.
Airsoft is fun
He's giving you payback for the times you've made me bleed, bruise. I still have a dodgy knuckle from you after 9 years!

Context: 1tonne charged me while I holding up his team. He got me from about 5-6m with a 450-500?fps SR-25. Right on the joint of my middle finger. Lots of blood, bruised bone now its a stiff creaky joint. Early club days we were just mates having fun so were quite loose with MEDS.

Back on track though:
What projects are people working over quarantine? I've got an HPA hicap for a MK23 to finish. Also while tuning my SR-25 to get the most distance possible.

Just got an A&K SVD. Can't wait to work on it, but it would be wise to save money during the times ahead.

I probably should put my SVD back together... or... I continue playing DOOM: Eternal. Decisions are hard.

I probably should put my M14 back together. But my thumb is sore from filing my piston for AOE correction. 😞

NZ is going into lockdown in 2 days. Everyone is going into the super markets and to get supplies. Police are there to stop excessive buying.
Seems like we are about to go into a new era in history. I would not be surprised if everything is different afterwards. Especially the economy.
There is such uncertainty with this event. In the next 4-5 months society could change dramatically. What will things be like afterwards? Will people have enough money to afford the essentials? Will some controlling dictator take advantage of this to get more power (Not talking about Trump. There are more dangerous countries out there that want to bring western society down)? Will we have jobs? Will govt create new laws regarding washing hands? Not forgetting to mention some of us may have lost loved ones through the virus and that always has a big effect.

What are peoples thoughts on what it is going to be like afterwards. Do you think that there is going to be big changes or things will go back to nearly normal?

Really depends on where you are in the world. For us in the US, the political parties will use this for a platform. (Already are.) Im sure things will change, probably not for the better, and will likely instill more isolationism and xeno-phobia for no good reason.

End of the day the world will continue to spin, and will continue to turn to shit unless we all make a true effort to change it. I do mean that, people have been hospitalized and in a few cases killed for toilet paper. Let that sink in, killed for toilet paper.

This isn't 100% new territory, the world has had viruses like this before. Things will eventually cool down, but it will be a historical event.

In the US we're gonna have a number of weeks more of this. Then when it's over the economy will bounce back quick as it dropped.

They need to stop playing games in congress and pass the aid for people who need it, though.

I'm in healthcare, still working, but that's mainly because we don't want to shut down and leave people without a paycheck since (as of now) they havent passed any relief. We have no cases near us, but times running out and a shutdown to emergency care only will be forced in the next week I would imagine. That'll require skeleton crews and lay offs.

You guys all seem to be about a week behind us so far. For us this is about 10 days since the hammer dropped. When I say that I mean legislation banning public gatherings, keeping a minimum of 2m apart, all that stuff.

The panic buying here was about a week ago. Since the weekend the truckers have been just givin er and the shelves are once again where they should be. We're fotunate here in that Canada produces almost all of our own goods regarding produce and supplies. The supply chain is healthy, and there's contingency plans.

That said there are still holes. There got be a giant lack of hand sanitizer but big breweries and micro breweries have gotten together to start making hand sanitizer by the keg! In typial Canadian fashion, they're giving it away...knowing that once we bounce back from this, they'll make it all back in spades. We don't forget the good people here.

As I said before, in equipment, we support the ag and infrastructure sectors so we're still working away...albeit with many new restrictions and protocols. Other than folks like us and emergency services (healthcare, first responders, etc) just about everything else has closed. Restaurants are now offering doorstep delivery where possible and same with just about everything else. Pharmacies, etc...delivering to your door...for free. If you want to order out you can pick it up and you just give a call when you get to the place and they stick it outside.

For the vast majority of us in the rural areas, it's kind of business as usual, really. We usually eat at home and rarely go to the city to watch movies or anything else. We talked on the porch to the sidewalk like we usually do, but politely drinks and snacks are refused and no one is put off as to why.

In the cities, things aren't quite so courteous or intelligent. There is hoarding still, but retailers are putting the brakes on. Oddly, civil unrest hasn't really happened. No fights to speak of (at least not in Alberta) and cool heads are prevailing as far as we know. There's always the idiots ignoring the rules but as of this week the fines are HUGE.

After all, use your frikken heads people. They're asking us to stay home..and the lights, internet, and heat are all still working! Is that really so bloody hard? Believe me, we come to work, do what we have to, and head straight home to minimize the risk. We're all still in good shape here and nobody's fooling around. We can't afford to go down and neither can the people who count on us...

Things will cool down but they won't go back to how they were. Well at least not in NZ. Our main export is Tourism. Since all the flights have stopped coming to NZ we now have no main export so many people have are jobless now. Even when this is over, most people will not be travelling to NZ because there will be very few flights and also the govt will become more strict on who comes in. So no more Tourism. Our logging industry was also pretty big but that has fully collapsed. Other industries may recover but there is still going to be a lot of people with no jobs.
The price of houses in NZ is about 17 times the average wage and so they are very expensive. We have the 3rd highest house prices in the world. Over the last 16 years a lot of people have invested in houses as they have been skyrocketing in price but the price of houses is about the plummet massively. When people realise that they have a massive mortgage and their house is only worth half of what there mortgage is then they will declare bankruptcy and not bother to pay it back. Then that has a role on effect to the banks. Eventually, our money could be worth nearly nothing.
I guess that the up side with the house prices coming down is that many young people will now be able to afford houses if they have a job. That is if they can get a job.
I know I sound like Mr negative but to be honest, if we do not look at the reality, then we will not get prepared for what is coming. It is better to get ready now than for it to over run us.
Personally, I like a challenge and we have a challenge ahead. It could be sad, hard and also exciting all at the same time.

So I have made myself a long list of stuff to do whilst at home, luckily the hardware stores are open, but since Saturday I have replace my Mk23s hop up plate with the new hadron cnc piece, painted my striker, changed an aeg spring, sorted stuff to stick on eBay, I bought 2 elite force co2 nerf guns for indoor Airsoft in the basement, built a target for pistol shooting in back garden, designed my new deck I will build very soon, cleaned the garage fridge, been mountain biking twice, had a virtual birthday party using zoom, sorted my clothes out, bought a whole bunch of stuff online, raked the lawn, tidied my extremely messy garage/workshop. Also have two kids home from college eating everything so have to keep buying food. My thought on this virus and the reactions etc are partly because most people have never faced anything similar as modern medicine removed all the old fashioned plagues, diseases, virus that used to wipe out whole families so now are slightly over reacting in either good or bad ways.

spending too much money on Airsoft

Not normal 'sniper' chatter, but the fact that we've played zero Airsoft this season so far has given me severe case of Airsoft G.A.S.

Picked up a Krytac PDW, then a G&G SR15, which had a faulty sector gear so I traded it for a new Krytac SPR. Meanwhile sold my TM G18c and picked up an HK45 from KWA, and then someway somehow, found a very clean WE Tech G17 w upgrades on Ebay!

Wasn't done yet.. a buddy wanted to play and while he was welcome to my (sometimes) always functioning Palco Colt M4 RIS CQB, or CYMA SVD Dragunov, he wasn't given access to my Well VSR-10 or VFC Avalon M4.

He wanted an M14 so we found him a CYMA SOCOM M14 with the long barrel. He chose a WE Tech 1911 for a sidearm. This is all on my nickel! Of course he needed a holster, spare gas mags, a chest rig, BDUs, the works, eye face head hands protection...

So NOW... my current dilemma is I'm torn between a Krytac LMG or a G&G Top Tech M14 ERB.
I know I should stop. If I could play, maybe I would.
Help me...
