How's everyone enjoying quarantine?

>Spent 330 days at sea in 2019
>Got home in January 2020
>Went home, played one game in February
>Field was nothing but ice, snow, and mud, not much fun for anyone
>Go back to "work" for another one week at sea
>Got back to California
>Find out the world is now under quarantine and everything (including airsoft) is cancelled

Cooped up in here. How's everyone holding out?

Still working full steam ahead. We're in heavy equipment and infrastructure. We're still in full on winter here (this morning it was still 10 below) but the provincial gov't has been epic in reaction and distancing procedures. Considering, our percentage here is ridiculously low compared to what it could be and people in this part of the world are very hardy (we're more than used to influenza and other viruses), but also very consciencious about this kind of thing.

We Canadians are banding together like only Canadians do when it's hitting the fan. Strangers helping each other out like never before. There have been a record number of layoffs and our oil sector is all but dead because of the DOW, but we all care about each other and everyone is going to be ok. The health care people here are world class and the populace is kind enough to not panic...

We had supply chain issues for a couple of days because there's always THOSE people, but they very quickly got scorned and shut down. Store levels are returning to normal and courtesy is returning to the lineups. Mind you, that's in the city...where we live in the small towns there was never an issue to begin with. Our ag producers are awesome people and the truckers are amazing.

As long as the snow plows keep moving, people listen to the people who know, and we look after each other, we're going to come out of this like a boss. We're nowhere near done with this, but just in the last week the sense of cool heads prevailing is coming back.

We still have another month or so of winter and spring storm season is coming. It'll be rough. But we'll make er.

Other than my partner working from home, absolutely nothing in my life has changed.

That's a benefit to being a self-employed farmer, I suppose.

Just got fully ready for a game today. Spent most of yesterday getting my M4 ready and most of this morning getting other stuff sorted only to find out before about an hour before the game starts that it has been cancelled. People will already be heading out to the field. Annoying.

Bored. Started a kjw mk2 build. Finished my ebr vsr wraith stock build. I want to get bins to organize my huge parts mess, but most stores are closed. Switched to my other hobby for a bit today...cars. Worked on my car, went and drove it and my turbo manifold cracked. Now I’m going to pull that off and have the shop weld it up!! I hope all is well for everyone and that this clears up soon!

*edit* also uploaded a Vsr cylinder guide sleeve diy on my channel: YouTube.com/BlindSniper

Oh yeah... Work. Working in fast food is awful right now. Now that only drive thru is open, record numbers of people decide to wait in a line of cars for ten minutes, and only when they're the ones ordering with ten cars behind them do THEY decide to figure out what they want. Oh, what can you say. Just be nice to them. I gotta remind myself that they don't know the menu as well as I do. They're people too, and we're all in the same situation. But yeah, when you're your resturaunt's go-to drive thru order taker, you basically get 90 minutes of straight orders with no break in the line... And then you get a 50 second break in between the next line.

Yay. We ended up having a private game anyway. 15 people. In our county we are not allowed gatherings of 100 people and so we were well under. Will most likely be the last game for a long time. (I got shot to pieces by my son and it hurt like crap)

New Zealand hasn't hit proper lockdown yet, just self-isolation if you're carrying the virus or if you've been overseas. Our Airsoft club called the game off today and I feel like it was due to COVID-19. Not that they're saying that. If worse come to worse 1tonne and I will just have 1v1s on our field lol

Most of New Zealand is just business as usual. Until we see a bigger spread anyway, Then its just tech time for 2 weeks. So not complaining haha

Shouldn't really tech with something that is already perfection. Though we could experiment some more on home made microswitch triggers (Cost about 5c per trigger contact)

Her hee hee. That reminds me of a time I played with my dad.... I gave him a big ol' nasty welt on the neck when he came stomping through the bushes... Point blank, too! 18 rps or so will do that. All of my airsoft gatherings have been private so far, too. I was planning on visiting a field this spring/summer, but that probably won't happen...

My son shot me with a 600fps rifle under the armpit in the ribs. It tickled a lot but I did not mind. Then a few minutes later he sprayed my hands, elbow and ribs with 20rps from about 4 meters away. Made me squeal and wine and grump at him. (Normally I take it like a man but that particular time I took it like a girl). Made it hard to move my hands and arm for the next half hour or so. They seized up with bruising.
He hit me really good in the elbow though. Got me on the funny bone and now it is hard to move my elbow. May a bruised bone or something like that.
Airsoft is fun
