I’ve been waiting for this post!! I don’t want to hear a single person bitch about the price lol. If y’all can dump hundreds of dollars into your shitbox vsr-10; $280 is not bad for a semi auto quiet platform lmao. It’s not my thing, I’m not buying an ssx303, I’m just sayin. I think with a larger mag though it would be sweet!!

I kinda like it. Price is not bad either. If the output energy is as easy as it appears to adjust, and internals hold up decent, this would be a great gun especially for a beginner sniper. I would not buy due to my luck with gas guns (maybe I am slightly too hard on them lol) and mag capacity, plus I got two great DMR setups already. Now where I would really consider this thing is if they made a bolt action version. That way you could have an extra gas expansion chamber, more consistent bb placement in hop up chamber, possibly better sealing, and higher joule limits (due to being a bolty) to compensate for lower mag capacity. I can see a compact bolt action that can easily reach BA limits and cyle easy with out external line and such being really handy. One might would run it more as a secondary with either a DMR as a primary (pulling out the BA for those shots you just can't reach) or small smg to run-and-gun to a good hide behind enemy lines to pull out the BA.

I think it is a pretty cool gun as the whole thing is aluminum and looks really stable, and the adjustable power by gas and nozzles is quite a nice feature too.
And for the price, just like his other guns, it can't be beat for the price(except the SSR15)
That being said, I will very likely never buy one as I've already got a Polarstar F2 in an integrally suppressed DMR style M4, so I don't need another DMR, especially one that requires new mags and a constant supply of fuel that I can't just pump into a bottle.
But, if you haven't already invested into HPA like I have, this is the BEST DMR until you reach Umbrella Armory.
But even then, they require batteries or an air tank, so they are really not much better.

I look forward to his other products, but it is very unlikely I'll get anything except his SSX23 as a Tokyo Marui without upgrades is $250 where I live.

I have to say, I'm actually interested in it.

Contrary to his other products (mere rebrands or ripoffs), this one seems to be actually thought out, it has a couple of really (imo) clever designs.
The first being the hop wheel, most kits have cutouts on the top rail to accomodate the usual hex key, but in most cases (unless you run iron sights) it requires you to remove the optic.
The second is the barrel spacer, it's made in a way that the outer barrel can't rotate on its axis, eliminating any issue connected to the inverted threads (the thing I was most worried about), along with, of course, making the whole thing more stable.

The power adjustment via a nozzle plug is smart, although for people like me with very strict energy limits (1J), in case of a nozzle breakage we're kinda screwed if there aren't any in stock.

The price tag imo is fair.
What isn't fair is the lead time. The base is a SSX-23, all they need to do in house are the receiver and the outer barrel, that's it. Why the fuck didn't he make 200/300/whatever units ready to be shipped?
It's kind of disappointing tbh, especially for those who preordered back in the day (not me, I wanted to know the final price and the full specs before deciding).
I guess we'll never find out lol

Some of you may not know this already, but I absolutely hate loud guns, unless of course they are wielded by the enemy.
Which brings up another thing that gives me mixed feelings about the SSX303, I think that in a way, silent guns are a thing that should exist and be accessible and cost effective, but this will mean that I will have to play harder and upgrade even more to compete with a very energetic person with $300 to spend.
Still, if someone stole my F2 DMR I'd probably get one of these immediately after I was all recovered from crying 🤣

I like it.
But I also really like Silo's stock kit for the ssx23. It reminds me of the srs but in a good way.

Silo's kits are bad and have been reported to bend/melt.

The ESC kit is something I'd prefer over the silo one, but obviously I'd prefer to e SSX303 over both of them 😂

Melt? Like in the sunlight? I melt in the sunlight, I wouldn’t want my airsoft gun to do the same!!

Ahhh yes, they are made of PLA plastic as it is cheap and easy to 3D print.
PLA doesn't like hot cars, lots of sunlight, water, or being fallen on while running.
I believe that the ESC kit is also partially PLA as well, but much less.

Btw, if you guys don't already know, truly biodegradable BBs are almost exclusively made out of PLA plastic as it is in fact biodegradable due to being plant based(corn or some other plant I believe)
So, great for cheap prototypes, terrible for a $200 or more carbine kit lmao

PLA warping or going soft in a hot car, I can believe, but direct sunlight takes a remarkably long time to reach any sort of transition temperature. The M7S I am currently running has several PLA parts that have help up to over a year of outdoor fielding, with my only complaints being color fading and some dents from BB impacts. If his kits are actually having that many problems then people are either leaving them in places they shouldn't (IE hot car) or they are bashing the kits thinking they are the same as any other airsoft gun. That is unless Silo is skimping on his wall thickness and infill or has his print settings wrong...

I wouldn't be surprised about low infill in the Silo kit lol.
As for sunlight, it isn't nearly as bad as a hot car, but it will still degrade it nonetheless.

The slide kit for my mk2 is PA12. I dont know much about 3D printing but that was a more expensive material when I ordered. It’s pretty solid, it definitely would break if I fell on it I’m sure. But it doesn’t look like it was made out of corn meal and buffalo shit like other 3D printed items lol.
