Depends on field and you’re play style. If you are sneaky and quiet go for mk23, if you need a pistol because of rushing/rushers is recommend the hi capa.

totally different beasts. One is NBB, the other GBB.

So the Mk23 is silent, gas lasts for a million shots, and the trigger is awful, while the Hi-Capa is much more enjoyable to shoot, obviously louder, trigger is crisp and great, and gas consumption is much higher.

So if you're going for some sneaky, silent shots at short distance (inside your main gun's MED), Mk23 all the way.

If you need the gun for some CQB action on an hybrid (green + buildings) field, it's Hi-Capa all the way.

Both can shoot perfectly good with the very same Maple Leaf upgrades

If you're gonna use any gas gun at -10 to -5C, you should just switch to black gas / nuprol 4, to keep it under working pressures.

Maybe you can get away with red / Map Pro (propylene) on the Mk23, since being a NBB they can work with lower pressures, but efficiency and consistency will be quite crappy at that point.

Sniper pistol

Whew! Good question! I found your post while doing some general sniper browsing. I know it's a late reply, but I hope this helps. Keep in mind this is from personal experience, but I'm only one guy.

For a while there I was wondering the same thing. MK23 vs the HiCapa. In the world of sniper pistols these two are usually the go-to option for one main reason: fixed-slide. Gas Blowback or GBB gun are really cool. They both sound and look impressive, but for serious snipers (and I do mean SERIOUS snipers), they are the worst option. Yes, I know that the HiCapa comes in a GBB version. Ignore that option for the duration of this post.

Airsoft snipers, unlike military snipers, are typically a solo act. Which leaves snipers with two combat preferences. There are the long distance shooters with a full-auto backup for when they have to change up there game. Then there are the ninjas. The snipers who ghillie themselves out so the enemy can walk over them without realizing they are there. I am the latter. I prefer stealth and I use it in every way I can get it.

So, my loadout is geared for distance and silence. I did a bit of testing some time ago and found the MK23 is significantly quieter than the HiCapa. When I say significantly, we're talking only a few decibels, but in the field when silence counts, those decibels can save your butt.As much as I liked the HiCapa, silence was my goal. Ultimately, that was was I ended up with.

The only drawback is the weather. You asked about the cold in one of your replies. The bb's in the mag can stick when it gets too cold. I had the same problem with the HiCapa too though. Luckily there is a fix. You may not like it, but it solves the problem. The fix is to turn your doublestack mag into a single stack. You lose the number of shots you can make per mag but you only need that fix during cold weather conditions. I live in Texas and have never had to use it.

So, go with the MK23 but don't forget to use your suppressor. That's the key to getting your MK23 to go completely unnoticed on the battlefield. Check out kickingmustang on youtube if you want to know more about that.
