Side Arm Suggestions

what side arms do you guys run and why. Hit me with your favorites and/or your most reliable. Looking for suggestions on which i should buy, want something that isnt too loud and can shoot straight for up to 25-50 meters.

Also what are your guys thoughts on novritchs handguns?

KJW is one i've seen a people talk about in different forums also the MK23 but when i googled it looked to bulky for me. Been locking at glock 18's and then a couple DE because you know fan boy vibes.

DE's
https://silo-airsoft.com/product/pre...-desert-eagle/
https://www.switairsoft.com/product-...e-desert-eagle
Silo looks much more appealing with the full metal parts but the cybergun seems decent enough if i wanted to save money but then again i want something that will last even if the DE would just be a fun gun.

Glocks

Everyone says that WE guns break kinda fast so scared to buy that WE glock but it does have some decent upgrades it looks like but if it is going to break i can buy the TM and upgrade myself.

Thoughts on these or at least one solid accurate pistol i play serious with? Price range around 150-250 including parts i would need to upgrade any weapons.

TM Mk23 with upgrades. If you want to save money buy the pre upgraded Novritsch version but be prepared for quality control issues.

With the DTD holster it's easier to carry than ever.

guessing those i linked above aren't very high performance? ill look into that novritch one again and upgrades since that seems like the most reliable atm. probably still get one of the DE just for fun later but can justify buying anything that isnt going to be main gear. Already got my PPE just need to decide on a sidearm and holster.

You said something that isn't too loud and can shoot to 50 meters. The Mk23 is about it.

I don't have experience with anything you linked, but WE isn't known for quality.

WE Glocks are one of the most reliable and durable airsoft pistols. They only had issues in their full auto versions, but they fixed that about three years ago.
The guide rod for the nozzle return spring was metallic and 1mm longer than it should, which caused constant nozzle breakages. But even if you get an old production, just got to file down that guide and it'll last forever.

went with the WE glock. i dont like the look of the mk23 so ill wait and get the novritch quiet one later when i can with the silencer. The glock will just be when i need to move and if i can get past them without drawing attention by sneaking i will. thanks guys.

A bit late to the party but:
TM G18C - is my main secondary (if that's a thing). Goes on my WAS on my belt right hand side about 4 'o' clock. It's fast, light and reliable.
TM hi-Capa 5.1 - is my backup secondary, just a sub for the G18 although it is heavier.
STTi Mk23 - Attached onto my harness just below my left manboob, for the sneaky sneaky.

Wait just so I’m reading this right... are you running 3 sidearms at once in games?

No just 2. Probably could have made my post clearer. The G18C and 5.1 are interchanged from one skirmish day to the next. The Mk23 is a constant.

I usually carry a P90 AEG (3.8lbs) for events where there is an SMG class and I have special forces ticket.

When more limited by class, a P* Ares Amoeba CCC (composite bodied M4 with a folding stock and charging handle) shaved down to 3.2lbs fills in.

Both options weigh roughly the same as most pistols with 2 extra mags, have significantly higher capacity magazines and certainly range 25-50 meters.

Additionally I carry a pistol-sized 40mm launcher with whatever 5 shells will be most effective for the event (TagInn, 40Mike, shower), one smoke (Mil-X) and various other pyro grenades (R2BS, TAG-67, FBG-6, thermobarics).

To top it all off, I carry a dual-band radio with an entire squad (or greater) of my BFFs who will come support if asked.

Cheers, brother! I thought I was the only guy packing two pistols.

I pack my revolver with the shot shells in it (24BB total capacity) for clearing spaces and general mayhem, and the main unit is a KJW MK2 CO2 pistol (Ruger-esque). The MK2 is non blowback so gas efficiency is exceptional. By not having blowback, target acquisition is fast and stays fast. It still holds 20 in the mag so you have lots of ammo. It has an adjustable hop and is a very simple pistol. The fibre sights are also nice. Nobody runs these things and I can't quite figure out why not.

I also have 2 blowback pistols but they rarely make it onto the field. Not gas efficient enough and the slides tend to get dirty...oh and they're way too noisy. Interesting note about a revolver with shot shells...it's actually fairly quiet. I usually carry a couple of preloaded speed loaders as well so I end up with about 3 preloads of shot shells and 2 mags for the KJ. If I'm not out of trouble by then, it's time for the kill rag.

I do the same thing!!
I have a Dan Wesson 715 with 5-6 bb’s per shot shell. I am these days thinking maybe I should switch to .12g bb’s for the shot shells to maximize FPS cause there is minimal velocity when shooting 6 bbs at once. Also... you think the revolver is quiet?! I think it is my loudest airsoft gun actually due to the CO2. Also my loadout is a bolty, plus the revolver, plus an MK23 to be sneaky sneaky.

Side note: Do you make your own shells using the real steel 357 casings?

Fellow revolverist!!! We are far and few between. Ok, the revolver isn't quiet, but it's quieter firing the shot shells than the singles is what I was getting at. hehehe.

You bet!! I make the shotties from 357 casings that are cut down with the primers drilled out and 1/4" pex that I shape on a belt sander to get the bullet taper. How about you?
