New OneTigris balaclava mesh mask: the definitive protection for snipers?

Hey guys!

Just stumbled with this and couldn't help but order for the whole team. This idea is so great, I can't believe no one has build this before (at least, not at scale)

Haven't tested it yet, it'll probably be some time for delivery due to coronavirus, but it certainly looks like the perfect protection for snipers... or for all airsoft needs but the most close CQB fields.

here's a short review, it's in French but pretty self-explanatory. Thoughts?

I actually have this!
Warning.
It needs a lot of work. I sewed up all of the seams again and sewed it up so that it would fit tighter around my head so the mask did not fall down.

Can confirm this. Used it for one game and needed to adjust it every now and then. It gives a good cheekweld and does feel better than the normal mesh or half mesh mask in my opinion.

How was the quality of the seams? was that re-sewing quality-related, or just for better fit? I have quite a big head, so my worry is the on the other way around...

Mine are pretty decent but the size is really big. Have a big head aswell and it is still a bit loose.

Basically, resewing was needed but it is far too big so you have to sew a fold into the balaclava so it doesn't fall down.

As you can see, I have made a fold in the edge pieces here so it sits tighter. This is the same in the other side.

I too have one (mine may not be a onetigris brand so that might explain the discrepancy) but mine fits perfectly, though I have yet to play in it.

We shall see how it holds up, but given a quick adjustment to the mesh it doesn't shift if I jump around or tip my head forward.

By the way, depending on where you live, One Tigris does make another balaclava with a pocket sewn in that holds a small mesh strip that only covers your mouth. Apparently it is lighter and more comfortable.
Also, you can make this yourself out of a standard balaclava where you sew in a pocket made of a breathable material and then put a mesh strip in it.

Now that I think about it, they could have made the side bands meet at the back and have them velcro-adjustable for sizing.

I mean it's a great concept but it does look like it needs some work.. it looks like it's trying to fall off the damn mannequin. I'd want more for a high-riding stitch, that the seams wrap further up the back of the hood rather than sitting level the whole way around..

I have a picture of my (not) epic sewing above and how I modded it.

I made my own. Wasn't too difficult to do. I'll see if I can pull the ghillie off of it to show. I'm making another out of some different materials.

Looks cool, but I just can’t do masks. They get annoying so fast. My “don’t smile or open your mouth while playing” has kept me from losing a tooth for like 17 years now (knock on wood). Lol. Also, if I get into a close situation I drop my rifle (which is on a sling) draw my pistol with my right hand and my left hand automatically goes over my mouth.
