Edgi barrel not up to snuff?

Bought a second hand edgi barrel off someone on the fourm. Supposibly not a lot of rounds through it. Just installed it and seems like I don't get the same range I had before. Was using a AA barrel. Both pared with AA chamber and ml nub /bucking. It seem like before I had a long flat trajectory and now it seems like too much movement on the bb. As in it the hop up has to work more to get the same distance. A larger bump in flight path is required to achieve the same range.

Let's discard the obvious first... have you cleaned the barrel and inspected for internal scratches and such?

Yes I have and the bore seems really well polished with no apparent wear inside

Make sure the bucking is seated properly.

Is the hopup unit applying proper pressure?

Is the barrel the same size as the old one?

A barrel is not a magic wand
It is one of many parts
And it all requires tuning and adjusting

I have many barrels and they dont make much difference 4x PDI , 3x Laylax and a PPS

Your barrel could be bent. Roll it in a flat surface to check, if it flops around then it's really, really bad. Second hand barrels are always a bad idea.

Also, a barrel can have a better fit to a hop unit / bucking than other, even if they are the same cut. AA barrels go great with Maple Leaf buckings, don't know about the edgis. What kind of barrel window does it have?

A very nice super-easy-to-rhop one.

You can ask edgi to make it however you want.

You can also r-hop bridgeless barrels.

Also may be your bbs
On a not as nice barrel bad bbs may not be noticeable but on a high quality barrel like edgi the bad quality bbs may be more noticed
