How long have you been sniping for?:
I have been sniping for around 5 years now
What is your flavor of sniping?: i usually like to rush up to a far forward position to ambush enemy players earlier then they expect, keeping quiet as long as i can to let me team push up behind me
What is the most important part of an airsoft sniper rifle?: reliability with silence a close second
How many sniper rifles have you owned?: I'm up to 6 now though only 2 that currently work
What kind of rifle do you use most?: JG bar 10
Is it modified with aftermarket parts? [Y/N]: Y
Is it modified with DIY mods? [Y/N]: Y
What is your favorite feature(s) of your gun?: i love how light it is and how easy it is to find mod support for it. With my mods its also very quiet which is nice
What is your least favorite feature(s)?: how long the rifle is, it likes getting caught in bushes and branches. The construction of the base rifle is starting to give after a few years of use so parts are beginning to break
If you were to buy a new rifle what kind of things would you look for in it?: I'd probably want something short maybe even a bullpup. I'd also look for how available replacement or upgrade parts were for when i inevitably need them

Just something different. Which is why I’m building an SRS 🙂

I’m not going to be original here but if someone comes up with a rifle that shoots consistently over 100m then I don’t care for upgrades, weight and whatnot. In sniper rifle the most important parts are range and accuracy imho.

How long have you been sniping for?:
7-8 years, airsoft for maybe 3-5 more. Now I have never been to a milsim event or even to a field. I play with friends and host an event every year. A field opened up near me so that is about to change lol.
What is your flavor of sniping?: stalking, hiding in bushes, standing in the open taunting the AEGs who can't touch you
Favorite is from a good hide. I most often stalk, and also flanking to help push.
What is the most important part of an airsoft sniper rifle?:
Fits the bill (do what you need it to do for the right price).
How many sniper rifles have you owned?
from what I can remember and count 4 BASR that I played with (sold two), 5 more I have for loaners 4 other builds for friends and 2 DMRs (both I am working on currently).
What kind of rifle do you use most?:
Well vsr10 gspec (mb03 I think?)
Is it modified with aftermarket parts? [Y/N]:
Yes
Is it modified with DIY mods? [Y/N]:
Yes
What is your favorite feature(s) of your gun?:
Inexpensive and its up-gradability, Accurate.
What is your least favorite feature(s)?:
I weighted for balance. So nice to point (so easy to free hand shots). Heavy to run around with for 8hr.
If you were to buy a new rifle what kind of things would you look for in it?:
Performance and style that fits its purpose, cost, and future potential of rifle. So this would be...
Out of the box effective range after cleaning and sealing, durability, weight, length, mag capacity, and body style for a given energy and role. Then of course cost is huge for me. Then its compatibility for after market parts for the future if I determine what its future may or may not be.

A sniper rifle is a rifle used by a sniper. Saying this, I think the most important part of a sniper rifle is how it serves the using sniper the best for example; for a small or super mobile sniper, the rifle's weight is a big deal and all else falls after it. Another example is again with smaller snipers, bolt pull is a major deal as well and a 2J+ build does them no good if they keep giving away their position trying to two hand cock the rifle. I also find it hard to flank and be super mobile with long rifle barrels like L96s. So for me it isn't always about range and accuracy, it is performance for the job at the price I can afford. Then accuracy and range is optimized after that. Just my opinion.

If a 100M OOTB rifle was ever made I am sure it would fit the bill in a ton of applications as like you said Jsmithki, for a lot of snipers, weight, size, power, upgradability, and cost is less of a factor at that kind of range and accuracy! I would take that kind of range any day of the week!
