good base for a ghillie?

Heya guys, just a quick question. Would a normal sweatshirt/jacket work as a base for the top portion of a ghillie? I have everything I need besides a base, and would prefer to use the jacket I already have that matches the color of my area.

I think that as long as you are okay with destroying the jacket, e.g. once its a ghillie its always a ghillie, then you are fine using it as a base. Also post some pics on here! I am curious how it will turn out.

It would probably be best to use a BDU or flightsuit/jumpsuit, mostly because they are a tough material and can take a beating. I guess in the end it's all a matter of preference.

Agreed. I am assuming this is a somewhat tough jacket no just a hoodie. I would suggest the bdu setup as well, but in a pinch I see no problem with a jacket as a base.

a t-shirt/sweater wouldn't have the "stiffness" to hold up all that jute/webbing etc and it would sag
