I believe it's homemade, but it seems to be pretty easy to do from paracord rope. (check varusteleka)
e:That was fast. 0.o

Rifle painting guide

As far as I recall to make a bracelet 17-19cm (approx) takes around 3m of cord
The sling is around 110cm and I was using 10m lengths and the excess trimmed off,

the wide version was a bit trial and error though and am not 100% sure about the lengths but I ran out of cord with the 10m lengths I had available as far as I recall.

To make mines I replaced the metal ring with a loop of cord that ties to the stock, around the pistol grip area. At the other end I tied the loose cords around the front sling mount :)
If you replace the metal ring with a buckle you can make a belt with the same method.

I have also seen mobile cases and multitool pouches made out of the cord so I suppose you could make mag pouches or even a holster
paracord webbing anyone?

Edited to remove incorrect lengths :-[ sorry

The sling is around 110cm and I was using 50m lengths, which when attached to the metal ring (mounting point) are halved.
For the wide version I think you use a little over double so you would be looking at 100m lengths. It was a bit trial an error though and am not 100% sure about the lengths.

Mmmm... For some reason I have hard time finding out the regular length of a M14 sling.

Plus I ended up choosing this method:

But that link does not provide info on how long bar will you get from say 1 meter of cord...

Guys, go make intro posts. But you are right, it was messed up. It goes up to a little past step one then the rest was lost.

Just a random question but would painting the rifle lower, heighten or not affect the monetary value of a rifle?

It can go either way depending on the paint job. Woogie did a paint job on a blaser( I think it was him...) I'm sure raised the value of the rifle significantly

Depends on what kind of paint job is done on the rifle. If you do a crappy job, don't expect to get any money from the paint. Heck you may even loose money due to the crappy paint job.

But it will really come down to what a buyer wantes on their rifle.

thanks for the feedback :) . I'm just trying to determine if it is worth it to paint my rifle since I already have a ghillie wrap for it? Also if I for example did a paint job at home and it turned out really nice it could boost the value of the rifle, or would the paint job have to be like a professionaly done paint job?

If you do it right, im sure it'll be hard to tell the difference between a "professional" job vs. a well done DIY job:P
