I don't know if you are still looking for sorbo like material, but I use a gel insert for shoes and doubled it up.

update: Done some DIY and updrages parts but ran into some problem.

Bad things:

Quote:
M145 element spring : can't fit all through the stock piston, I don't have enough equipment to "extend" inside piston, so I have to use stock spring.
The O-ring: on piston have leak. Try expand it with "lighter and cylinder" ( trick at AEG ), but it only improve a bit. Will buy another few bigger O-ring to fix it.

Spring guide stopper steel: too long, will re-test it after off game.
APS bucking: it seem too thick, the cylinder head some time stuck out, I have to push with more strength. when the cylinder head got in place, I noticed the bucking expand and have a leak post.
Test fps, 345-363 FPS with 0.25g bb King
After re-changed stock bucking back, the FPS more stable but still not good enough: 357-363.
Good thing:
Quote:
the gun have smooth bolt pull ( except wobble bolt handle ), shoot really quiet. the steel sear piston is drop-in, no need to modification.
The sun is going down now, tomorrow I will test accuracy and range ( after got best air seal first )

after off game, mine gun shoot with effective range nearly 45m, seem good with stock bucking and mod nub.

Problems: not consitant enough, sometime the shoot is curve to right. Maybe the hop-up arm still can wobble.
airseal not good between airnozzle and bucking.
with 0.3g and stock spring ( added 4 brass ring spacers ), seem it still don't strong enough to go through the leaves, make me miss some targets.
After drill out the silencer adapter to make inner barrel go through, the inner at the end of muzzle is ... Curve to left ( about 30% ). another source for shooting problem. Need to re-check this.

I will order 3 type of bucking :

+ SHS bucking : 70*, V-shape nub
+ SHS bucking blue : 70*, not sure what is shape nub ???
+ PPS bucking: 60*, not sure what's shape nub.

updates:

Try again with PPS steel spring guide stopper. The gun can cock, but when push the cylinder back, feel friction. I took it out, use digital caliper , the Steel spring guide stopper is larger than stock ~0.3mm. Will file the steel and re-test.

My gun got inconsitant fps ( devitaion too much ).
(current setup: 99.9% cylinder airseal, only can hold the piston when hop-up unit installed 1 second, stock spring with 4 brass spacers. APS Bucking, custom nub ( silicone wire ), hop-up arm shimmed, 510mm barrel )
I use 0.25g BBking for test fps :

402.5 fps
405.1
409.3
404
411.3
406.2
406.6
412.9
414.9

Will try denta floss and telfon tomorrow.

small updates:
try with PDI W-hold bucking, airseal worse than APS. get back APS, still got some leak air, wait for find Anti blow ring.

got file enough inside the stock piston to fit M145 spring, now it like M145 with 4 brass spacers, the pull so hard but smooth. with test fps again.

middle update: today I re-test the gun, try to dental floss at between cylinder head nozzle and bucking. I Got 99.99% airseal, so much happy for that.

But after test fps with chrono, it still deviation a lot. +/- 20 FPS.
Try put back stock spring back. Amazing, deviation now only +/- 4 ( 1shot/20 shot is +/- 6 ).

Try to add more 2 brass spacer to increase more fps, now it shoot 430 with 0.25.

Wait for test it on site. Great day for me.

Did you just say you dental flossed between the cylinder head nozzle and bucking? I would like to see this. Send pics next time. Sounds like you are saying it is better with stock spring.

just like this, I dont cut all anti rolate rubber piece, just cut enough for dental floss.
insert your cylinder head inside hop-up bucking and tight as possible.

About spring, M145 spring can't fit all through inside the stock piston, I tried to take out as much material as inside stock piston to "fit" enough for M145 spring, but it cause me FPS deviation so big. Had to switch back stock spring.

I ordered aftermarket piston for use better spring, stock spring just... not enough fps.

Hmm I thought you meant you did some sort of dental floss mod on the "cylinder head Nozzle" yes that bucking mod will help. Depends on how you take out of the material inside the piston. That could be the reason behind the current inconsistency, but I don't know.

I said :"between cylinder head nozzle and hop-up bucking", maybe you misunderstand.

I still prefer Anti blow ring, do this mod is need patient and carefully , lol. I repeat 5 times to make it tight.

I refer to that as a cylinder head nozzle and misunderstood you for saying that you did a dental floss mod on it, however your DFM is on both sides of the bucking so it makes sense now. Thank for the picture.

minor update:
after added 2 more brass spacers, seem it's going to limit, FPS still keep at 430 with .25 ( +/- 4 FPS ).

Try to chrono with .3g bb ( BBking brand ). around 390 FPS ( +/- 6 ).
will edit update after off game.
