Yeah, I went with the bar 10 g spec. I do like the little I've seen of the echo, but no sense in not going with something that's proven to work well.

Perhaps a dumb question, but is there anyway to fit vsr 10 parts into a mod 24 stock? I honestly love that stock after shooting one at a game, far more than my jg bar 10. Seems like the only options I have for a better stock, are the model works once, a tac one, or taring carvings for a wood one. All of which are a lot more money than a mod 24 stock.

Bugger. If I was in the States I would have purchased your BAR10 stock off you. I am in NZ and so freight costs too much.
You are better off going with one of the after market stocks. The M24 won't fit from what I know of. (I could be wrong though so you should make a new thread as someone may differ)

That's what I figured. It's surprising how few options for stocks there are compared to every other part of the gun

Awesome thread, tons of useful info even if a lot of it is over my head.

I'm getting ready to start ordering a TM VSR-10 and upgrade parts. I'm planning on sticking with all Maple Leaf internals. From the research I've done the Action Army triggers, and hop ups won't work with the stock safety and hop up lever and for some silly reason that's important to me.

My field has a 2.3j limit, which should be near 500fps. So if I'm reading the guide correctly I should be shooting for .4g bbs, and a 470mm barrel.

Does that look about right?

BB and Barrel sound about right.

The Action Army hopup doesn't effect the safety. The trigger though, do not have a safety. If you want a cheap trigger with a safety, check out JJ airsoft.

Yeah I meant the trigger effects safety, and hop up with the lever. If my research is correct the Action Army chamber doesn't connect to the lever on the side of the barrel and has to be adjusted with an allen key.

I haven't been able to find much in the way of reviews for the maple leaf chamber, but everything I've ready about their other parts suggests they made good stuff. So I'm reasonably confident I won't lose much using it instead of the Action Army.

Thanks for the quick reply.

The Action Army hopup chamber is adjusted by allen key.

I've the Echo1 PSR and it's lovely. It came out of the box ready to play and no need to start upgrading for a while. In my country the VSR10 costs near the double of the Echo1 PSR....but it's a problem here....If can pay the difference, choose the VSR, if not, then PSR will work fine.

Just altered the recommended bb weights for different fps rates
So the new rates are:
330-370fps = 0.25gm-0.30gm
370-420fps = 0.30gm-0.32gm
420-450fps = 0.32gm-0.36gm
450-500fps = 0.36gm-0.40gm
500-540fps = 0.40gm-0.45gm
540fps upwards = 0.48gm+

The old recommended weights were:
330-370fps = 0.25gm-0.30gm
370-420fps = 0.30gm-0.32gm
420-450fps = 0.32gm-0.34gm
450-500fps = 0.34gm-0.38gm
500-540fps = 0.38gm-0.43gm
540fps upwards = 0.45gm+

So not too much difference but a little heavier in some of the higher fps limits.
