Loud Spring

Hi, I recently added an AA M150 spring and it just made my VSR-10 a heck lot louder. Is there anyway to muffle to sound, e.g. silencer, internal muffling? Thanks!

Fill every hollow area with rags, cotton balls, foam, anything really.
Use barrel spacers made of tape or foam.
Make a suppressor(message me if you want to gain some of what I have learned)
Match the volume of your cylinder and barrel(use .4-.5g BBs with a standard length barrel and you should be fine)
Put a sorbo pad on your cylinder head.
Put some heat shrink or scotch tape on the spring guide to reduce rattle.

I have put these in an order from most to least important, so you should do the top ones first

You forgot airbrake pistons. They are lower down in the order of importance though.

I don't think that they are much of a DIY option for most people though, that's why I didn't add them.
But they are somewhat effective in most cases, only downside is that you need a heavier spring to make up for the lost effective volume.

It is possible. Essentially you drill a hole in the tip of your piston and super glue a plastic or metal rod into it.
The thing about the lost cylinder volume is true, which is why people often drill out their cylinder heads. In addition, the loss of air is only slightly more than if a sorbo pad is used.

Have you seen novritsch's silencer? In his video it seems to work but I don't know if a M150 spring is way over what his silencer can handle. right now, I've just stuffed the inner front and back of the barrel with some spongey foam I found laying around. Seems to work bit but prob not as much as acoustic foam.

That silencer is ok, but the holes are too big so it is less effective that it could be.
My recommendations are : Get a silencer that looks cool/right dimensions

Get Scotch Brite pads, decent open cell foam like the stuff in a gun case or mattress, or double sided dish sponges and make disks with about 8mm-16mm perfectly centered holes depending on your confidence and with an outer diameter that will fit into your silencer

Make a cardboard disk with no hole and glue it to the exit end of your suppressor and shoot about 100-500 cheap BBs set for flat hop through it

I have more suggestions and tips if you are interested, but you will need to contact me later as I'm tired lol
