What parts does your L96 have?

I recently did a thread asking what parts your VSR10 had. So now I thought it may be helpful for people to put a list of what parts they are using in their L96 (If you do not have a L96, then do not put your list up on here). Before you post up your list of parts, please make sure that you have been sniping for more than 2 years. This way you would have had some experience in parts that you may be able to pass on to a newbie.

Please do not make your post extra long posts (Try to limit it to 1 sentence). I want this to be a quick list that people can read. You may want to say how long you have been a sniper and how often you pull apart guns.

Here is a template list. If you have anything extra, add it to the end

Rifle: Brand
Hopup Chamber: Brand
Hopup Bucking: Brand
Bucking Hardness/Degree:
Hopup tensioner/Spacer: Brand/Homemade
Barrel: Brand/Size
Barrel Spacers: Brand/Homemade
Piston: Brand
Piston Weight: If known
Spring guide: Brand

Approximate FPS with 0.2gm: FPS
Approximate Joules with heavy bb: Joules
Scope: Brand/Magnification/Size
Bipod: Yes/No (If yes Brand too)
Silencer: Yes/No (NOTE: Just say yes or no for this please as we are not allow to talk about silencers on this forum)

I have also drilled through my stock in the very front hand guard area and put a bolt that screws into the inner barrel spacer. This locks the barrel onto the stock so that it is in the exact same place for each shot.

This is brilliant! Especially since the barrel twist in ANY type 96 hop up. I wish Action Army would design a hopup that has allen screws that tighten onto the barrel and not on itself. Thanks for the idea. Will be implementing this next week!

Sorry for the late reply.

It was pretty good, I'd say hits at 250 feet consistently. Lacked a bit of power to push the bbs to their maximum potential but the rifle outperformed most other rifles on the field, and that for a pretty cheap final build.

I would have r-hopped or flat hopped it eventually though.

Thanks guys

New on the forum, but been messing with BASRs for a while

Gun: Well MB01
Hop up chamber: stock modified with handmade aluminium hop arm
Hop up bucking: stock, flat hopped, dental floss airseal to barrel and dental floss airseal ring to nozzle
Hop up nub: Eraser rubber flat nub
Barrel spacers: Masking tape
Barrel: Stock polished
Outer Barrel: Stock fluted
Receiver: Stock, joint to outer barrel shimmed with PTFE tape
Bolt handle: Stock
Piston: Stock, head modified to locate seal properly
Spring guide: Stock, modified by hand
Spring: Stock
Cylinder: Stock, polished. PTFE taped cylinder head with counter chamfered nozzle
Anti blow-by ring: Dental floss x2
Trigger: Stock, all sear bearing faces trued and polised
BB's: ASG white 0.4g
JouleS: n/a
Fps: 460 with .20 (local limit 500fps)
Scope: Richter Optic 3-9x 40
Bipod: None
Silencer: No

This was my 'No money spent' build and shot groups half the size of the out of the box rifle with consistent hits out to 75-80 yards (70+ metres)

Since then it's been rebuilt a couple of times and the current spec is:

Gun: Well MB01
Hop up chamber: Action Army
Hop up bucking: Modify flat hop
Hop up nub: Modify flat nub
Barrel spacers: Masking tape
Barrel: Prometheus EG 6.03mm x 455mm
Outer Barrel: Stock fluted
Receiver: Stock
Bolt handle: Stock, fitted with phosphor bronze bush to bearing surface and re engineered locking pin to eliminate slop
Piston: Mancraft with volume reducer
Spring guide: N/A
Spring: Edgi, N/A
Cylinder: Stock, nozzle counter chamfered
Anti blow-by ring: none
Trigger: Stock, polished sears
BB's: ASG white/ black 0.4g
JouleS: Variable
Fps: Variable
Scope: Richter Optic 3-9 x 40 with sunshade made from old sealant tube
Bipod: none
Silencer: Integrated into redundant length of outer barrel due to shorter inner.

It runs off 12g CO2 carts with the end of the adapter poking out of the stock so it looks like the monopod on the real steel. The Palmer Stabiliser reg is built into the stock and is adjusted through a small hole in the underside. All the ballast has been stripped out along with the lump of metal the bipod would normally plug into, so the whole rifle is about a pound lighter than stock.

Oh, and it shoots great! :)

Barrel spacers: three, made from hi density rubber (motor mounts)
Piston: aluminum
Cylinder: Stock
Spring: stock with custom length mod

Approximate FPS with 0.2gm: 475
Approximate Joules with heavy bb: unknown
Scope: Bushnell 3-9x40 with illuminated reticle
Bipod: Yes and no, depends on the game

Rifle: Black WELL MB01 (SR-MB01-B-PKG1) bought on sale but didn't have a limiter when I got it so maybe used? Bought from Evike.

Hopup Chamber: Action Army
Hopup Bucking: Maple Leaf
Bucking Hardness/Degree: 70°
Hopup tensioner/Space: Maple Leaf Super Macaron

Barrel: Action Army 6.01 510mm
Barrel Spacers: 4 Rolls of Painters Tape 🙂
Piston: Action Army CNC for AEG
Piston Weight: Not Sure? If anybody knows, I don't mind input.

Spring guide: Stainless maybe? Guide from 30$ Matrix upgrade kit.

Spring: Prometheus m170
Cylinder: Stock
Trigger: Matrix Metal Trigger Assembly
Ejection Port Cover: No
BB Weight: EMG 6MM .25s right now but Madbull .36s in the mail on the way. 🙂
Approximate FPS with 0.26gm: No Chronograph 😞 Its a lot. ~550-600. Goes through top of a can and dents the bottom from about 3-4 inches away.

Approximate Joules with heavy bb: No idea
Scope: Original WELL MB01 scope, 3-9x40
Bipod: Not yet. On the way with new bbs. 🙂 Matrix Metal Adjustable
Silencer: No

This is my very first sniper rifle. Not my first airsoft gun but my first "expensive" one. First with any sort of upgrades. I got a lot of help from people on these forums which I can't explain how much i appreciate. Im sure this wont be the final product. Id love to add a suppressor or a brake of some sort. I hate that orange tip... Id also like to add something to the inside of the stock and maybe a sorbo pad or some felt on the cylinder head. A better trigger when this one breaks. Angel custom parts are next i think and a chronograph maybe too.

So negative on angel parts. Thank you. Ive seen a lot of negative reviews now that i look. Everything seems to need modifying for it to fit.

ALSO:
Girlfriend gave me the okay to buy that action army cylinder. Isn't she great? She said that's the last thing. Little does she know that IS the last thing. Until something breaks. 😳
