HFC USR-11 review

Initial Responce: We all started to see bit and pieces over the net that HFC was going to come out with a reinforced clone of the VSR-10. After months of waiting it was final here the release. So i did some research on the USR-11 and foud out that for half the price as a TM VSR-10 you can get a beginner rifle that can take ALL TM VSR-10 upgrade and have it shooting with the big boys. So thats when i decided to buy one.

After ordering it from AirsoftAtlanta it arrived, but I wasnt allowed to play with it until Xmas , But that day came and it was GO Time LOL. Initial reaction was wow it was a nice gun but the black paint job was diffenetly going to have to go(it had a slite black gloss to not you flat black tactical color) but no biggy.

Construction: just about everything on the gun is metal all but the Stock. it was very will put together hats off to HFC.

Performance: The performance...Will was a bit sad on the performance size at first they said that it shoots 300fps w/ .20g but i took it to ACQB and Chrono'd it and it shot in the 290's, but hey i can deal for now.after a few months of reading i found that you can take the weight that gives it the real shock effect out. so i did two days ago. Not only does it shoot harder but it is a lot quiter.

Problems: I think the only problem right not for me is the stock is not the greatest in the world.

Feild Test Report: So i took my rifle to OP:Crossbow where i got 15 kills YAY. it held up well until i broke the swival stud off were my bipod was. rararar, but that has been fixed since. But over all field test it went very very well, had no miss feeds, or jams and the hop up performed flawless.

Improvements: I think the improvements for the rifle would be a better stock and the nessessary internet upgrades for your perfect FPS, besides that nothing all around great gun

Recommendation:
i would for newcommers to the sniping position, also remove the weight from the piston to increase fps and to quite the rifle. and finally get a 120 or 130 spring.

Rating: 8.5/10(due to the stock)

Good review, I had a Gspec back in my day and my bipod broke the stock in the same spot. If i do recall, they make some barrel and hopup upgrades for it, or do the VSR barrel parts work?

My first rifle was the USR-11. It took all the upgrades I could throw at it... including the zero trigger, 170sp spring, and so on. The only problem is the same as all the other spring rifles... the hopup is inconsistent. My tanaka is about 1,000x as accurate due to the hopup design. All-in-all, it's a great starting rifle, and given some good upgrades, it should be able to give you 70-80 yards of reliable engagement range.

I was having some hop-up issues to but once I did the Teflon mod on it. It worked like a champ. I have it shooting 360+ FPS and all I have done so far is remove the weights and did the Teflon on the hop-up.

Update I have chronoed the rifle with .25g. And all the readings were 370, 373, 370, 372 FPS, and this is with the real shock weight removed, I have done a Teflon mod to the hop-up.
