[WTS] [GB] VSR Ultimate receivers and accessories

THIS IS A GROUP BUY. Production will begin after the entry period ends. I would like the entry period to end on Nov. 8th, however if it takes longer to meet minimum quantities I may leave it open for slightly longer. If we do not meet the minimum all down payments will be fully refunded.

With that out of the way, this is a group buy primarily for the one-piece “VSR Ultimate” receivers that I have been working on. Some of the accessory bits that I designed are available if desired as well.

Quick points on the receiver set:
• One-piece, CNC machined from 7075-T6 aluminum
• Hard coat anodized (dark grey currently)
• Marui VSR spec
• CNC machined PTFE (Teflon) cylinder sleeve set (one set is included with every receiver)
• 16 inch (from “receiver” front) barrel, 350mm inner barrel ends ~5mm from the front
• Threaded front (M28x1mm threads)

All receivers will come with the sleeves pre-installed and a 3D printed end cap. If using your own rail please get in contact with me so I can explain the correct length screws to use.

The minimum order quantity (total, not for each person obviously) for the receivers is 3. All prices listed are for at least 3 pieces. In the case of accessories, less can be made though prices will be slightly higher. If we don’t meet minimum on some accessories I will get with each interested person individually to discuss options. If we hit 5 receiver sets I will drop the price further.

Pricing:
• Receiver set - $330 ($300 if we get 5 or more made)
• Matching rail - $50
• Aluminum end cap - $25
• Adjustable aluminum end cap - $80
• Extra PTFE sleeve set - $90

*All aluminum components will be anodized the same color as the receivers. If the group collectively decides on a color other than grey for the receiver, the aluminum parts will also change.

Shipping for US buyers is included. If you are outside the US, please contact me for shipping cost.

I will not be asking for the full cost of people’s orders until after everything is finished and in hand. However, to ensure that everyone is on board, I will need 25% of your orders cost before the entry period ends. Once that is done, the full order will be placed with the machine shop and production can begin. Based on my previous experience with the machine shop, it generally takes about 3 weeks after the order to receive parts (I would guess a little longer just based on the potential amounts this time). Once I receive the finished parts, I will make sure that they are all to spec at which point I will ask for the remainder of each persons total cost. As I receive the final payments I will ship out orders.

Just as a note, the 25% upfront will obviously not cover the manufacturing cost of all this stuff so I am taking on a decent amount of risk here. However, I feel like it is the proper thing to do in this situation.

If you decide to join in on this, send me a message. Please do not tell me you are in unless you are committed. Dropping out affects everyone in this case.

Detailed discussion of the development is available here: https://www.airsoftsniperforum.com/3...te-masada.html

Slight modification to the barrel length. I'm adding 2mm to the length of the barrel to improve fitment for 368mm and 370mm inner barrels when used with the adjustable end cap. A 368mm barrel will fit flush, while 370mm will protrude 2mm past the adjustable piece (not past the end of the gun).

With the standard end cap, 350mm inner barrels end 1mm before the end of the receiver and 7mm before the end of the cap. Currently the standard end cap hole size is larger than the inner barrel and will not stabilize it. This is done to allow for short inner barrels without disturbing the air as a bb flies through the cap.

*pic of the adjustable cap currently with a 370mm inner barrel (sits 4mm past the front of the adjustment piece)

Price for the receiver and sleeve set is down to $300.

The entry period will not be extended. November 8th is the cutoff.

I may be able to do a second barrel length for the receivers while maintaining the same price.

For those that are in/interested and want something other than the 16in barrel please let me know. I am definitely not doing a bunch of different lengths for everyone, but if there is a consensus for an alternative it might be doable.

Less than one week left to get in on this. Unless there is decent demand later on I don't plan on doing another group buy in the near future. I'll be available for special orders though, but prices will obviously be higher.

On another note, I will be including a machined aluminum end cap (instead of the 3D printed one) with every receiver now at no extra charge. They can be made for cheap enough, plus I think they will look better being the same color as the receivers.

Just wanted to clarify the "outer" barrel length dimension. From the large side of the chamfer on the receiver (or any Marui receiver if you are measuring) the barrel length is 18.258". Just wanted to note that as the first post states 16 inches. This does not change the inner barrel fitment as originally posted.

The alternate length is set to be 11.339" from the chamfer.

If you’re still on the fence about one of these you better get on it! Running out of time before the cutoff. Masada did an excellent job. The fit and finish are great, it’s extremely sturdy but not too heavy to lug around all day.

Entry period is over.

There will be 10 receivers made (none are extras) plus a bunch of the other aluminum bits. A couple neat color combos too.

I am finalizing the build list today and will place the order with the shop either today or Monday. I still expect production to take about a month, and I'll keep everyone updated on the progress.

Napkin math has the full length it in the receiver/barrel in a typical vsr stock to be around 37.5 inches. Is that right?

Ya that sounds about right. I'll measure it with a stock when I'm home in a couple days to get you a more exact number.

Excellent! So shipping late this week or next?

All four headed my way are getting the same internal build as heavy weight flingers. Sounds like it is time to order up the stainless to make the pistons . . .

I'm shooting for early next week assuming everything stays on schedule.

Also, remind me to sign up for your team next time. The gun truck was already enough of a pain...
