R-hop in well L96, AA chamber.

Hi guys.

Im about to give my first try at r-hopping my l96, since im really not happy with the shots at the moment.
Current set up is:
Well mb08
Laylax/prometheus 455mm 6.03 inner barrel
Barrel spacers made of masking tape
AA hop up chamber
Maple leaf macaron 75 bucking
Maple leaf omega nub
AP cyilinder set
AP trigger
Air seal is 100%

BBs are flying really inconsistent. Left, right, up, down.. More than sure it is the hop up thats causing this.

I have ordered the rhop patches from taiwangun and im planing to use them. Has anyone tried them? Are they ok?

For the nub i have got prometheus bridged flat hop nubs.
Will these work with r-hop? Or still the best bet would be the full flat nubs from prometheus?

What kind of r-hop set ups do you guys have in your L96's?

Has any of you guys made r-hop to a AA L96 hop unit? What kind of bucking and nub did you use?

Mostly, im not sure if the bridged flat nubs work with r-hop? What i have read most of people use full flat nubs.
Really wouldnt want to apend another 16€ for the flat ones and shaveing the hop up arm to make eraser nubs is not very inviting aswell

I think that 2 of your issues are caused by your bucking, and your nub.
The Maple Leaf Omega nub (concave nub) is very hit or miss when it comes to getting a good one, I wouldn't really recommend them.
And for the bucking, it is probably too hard, maybe get a 60 or 70.
I would suggest that you buy a MASADA nub if you live in the US or Canada, or the Panthera nub on Skirmshop if you live in Europe, either one will help quite a lot.

I would definitely recommend trying R-hop, but I would recommend that you also buy one of those nubs and a 60 Maple Leaf MR-hop or a 70 2021 (clear) Maple Leaf MR-hop as the nub will help with both, and the regular bucking will be something to try in case the R-hop isn't what you were looking for.

I have actually tried several ML buckings with different hardness.
75 degree is what i have now in my gun.
I have tried the yellow 60 degree and the blue 70 degree. I still have all of these spare🙂
Gun is shooting 3,96j

I am at the moment not aiming for a MR hop, because i have ordered the R-HOP patches from taiwangun. I plan to try them on my gun.
I just dont know if the bridged prometheus flat nubs will work with r-hop or not.. I see most of the people use full flat nubs when R-hopping.
What do you think?

I think that you should get one of these nubs, and see how it works with your bucking now.

For R-hop, you can use a flat nub, but concave is better and is what I prefer for my things.

While waiting for the correct nub i decided to try a briged flat nub with my current setup.. To see if anything changes. I cut the bridged prometheus blue nub to correct size, assmembled my rifle and went to try it out.

The difference is there. The gun shoots far better than it did with the ML omega nub.

Just a small update.

I tried both super macaron and mr hop maple leaf rubbers and neither of them worked with my aa chamber. I had an awful inaccuracy at like 50 yards. Bbq all over the place sometimes not even on the target. I had to buy the aa rubber and that solved my problems.

The AA chamber is obviously a serious upgrade over any other chamber, but it's only so good.
A good bucking such as an MR-hop will be another good thing to go with the AA chamber, but then you need a different nub.
Soft nubs are not ideal,vi don't care what anyone says, but they just aren't.
That is why I suggested the MASADA nub, it's hard plastic instead of rubber, so the X and Y axis will both be improved when shooting.
Of course, shimming and such will help too, but after that you are basically at the end of what you can do.

What kind of AA hop up bucking did you buy, that solved your problems? Can you send a link?
What kind of nub did you use with AA chamber and ML Mr hop?

I kept the maple leaf omega nub that I had initially. And the hop rubber is just the action army black rubber.

As for where i got it i always use either evike.com or airsoftatlanta.com But heres the link.

It could be the barrel. I finally settled on the action army 6.01 510mm barrel. People said i should be closer to 455mm but im happy with the 510.

The other barrels the window was different. I couldnt use the stock barrel or an aps2 type. My entire rifle is action army besides the trigger.

Do i understand correctly, that you are useing this Action army black bucking and stock hop up chamber?

Because AA hop up chambers only take AEG buckings and barrels..and this is definately not an AEG bucking. This is bucking meant to be used with statndard l96 cut barrel and stock chamber.
