SRS-A1 22 range?

Can any one tell me what kind of range they are getting with this airsoft sniper system with upgrades? Been trying to decide between SRS-A1 22 as a spring set up or to go with a vsr 10 hpa bolt setup. Thanks in advance.

It will all be very similar. It mainly depends on the bb weight being used and the club energy/fps rates.

People have reported 85m accuratly and with "flat flight" with 2.3J builds. If that is "Airsoft meters" or not, i dont know.

Me personally have hit a metal plate (pretty accuratly) (about 80cm wide, 1m high) from 90 and 100 meters, sitting at about 3.5m above the target, also with quite alot of holdover (aiming atleast 2m above the target).

If done right, 2.3joules will hit 85 meters but it is not a flat trajectory and you do need overhold as well. So it is definitely not 1 shot one kill.
At 2.3 joules your common range will be about 65-75 meters.
Flat trajectory will be about 60-65 meters.

Note: I would most likely use a 0.4 or 0.43gm at 2.3 joules. Sometimes a bb weight can be just too heavy for the energy produced. But if it works for you, then go for it.

Dear Elor1031,

Both of your choices are top notch. I've used both spring and HPA setups. When target shooting/goofing off I enjoy the HPA for it's semi-auto feature; however, during actual gameplay I have eventually adopted the spring rifle almost exclusively. Why? Weight. It's that simple. The HPA gear will wear you down quicker than a spring rifle and its just more cumbersome stuff to deal with when you are trying to stalk through the woods. I've learned over time to keep things as light as possible.

If you're playing a fast paced game and sniping is less of an option, an HPA may work better for you. In that case you wouldn't want a sniper setup anyway and should probably think about getting a full-auto gun.

Back to the spring rifle. I've done some upgrades to my SRS and have topped out at about 105 yards. With a good tail wind I can arc a shot to about 120 and hit the target as long as he is stationary. More or less. At that distance I have to "eyeball" my shots. Stock, my SRS shot consistently at 87 yards using Kicking Mustang's .48 gram bbs. I also use MadBull bbs quite a bit.

I hope that helps you decide. Good Luck.

Using Geoffs 0.48 bbs on 3.17J I am able to hit human size target at 112m at windy day. Or at lease my XSight says so ;)

Setup:
ML Jet barrel (590mm)
Fast Hop
ML Wonderer 70 deg bucking
ML Omega nub
120g variable mass piston
Silverback m170 spring
0.48 geoffs bbs

I guess your Xsight is a range finder. They are often not correct in bush area. They will give measurements that are a lot longer than the real distance.
My longest shot ever in game was about 95 meters and I had a lot of overhold.

Xsight is a smart optic you can check it here. It does not has a range finder per sey. It calculate distance over scaling object of known size. It this case it was my friends hight. Sure it may be wrong for few m. I wont argue with that.

I would have to see it to believe it.
You should go back to the place you did 112m's and measure it. Then on top of that you said it was windy. This makes it more unlikely.
I just think the Xsight is not correct.
My longest shot outside of a game is 100m's (Aiming at a 200l plastic barrel). The rifle was 3.4 joules and I was using 0.45gm bb's. I had to aim about 3 meters high even though I had over hop.
