In would like to be able to keep playing airsoft even though winter is here and this weekend it will be 30 degrees Fahrenheit and may also rain. The problem is i only have gas guns to use. (would use my Tanaka m40a1) How do you guys use your gas rifles (bolt action) when its cold? i figured you wrap it up in hand warmers or something?

What is this MAPP gas you speak of?
Sadly the gas is discontinued since 2008.

Edit:seems a good chunk of the euro players can get it. Some hunting might be In order.

MAP//Pro is a substitute for MAPP. It should work fine. Just don't ignite it....

Though I would opt for the HPA route. More control and better shot to shot consistency.

Now as you know some hand Warmer's can get really hot. Can it get to hot for my magazine or can it hurt my magazine in away from how hot the hand warmers will get. I'm going to figure something out with them today to keep my magazine warm (yes it will work!)

You could also try toe warmers they don't get quite as hot as hand warmers.

Edit: plus they have a semi sticky back to help hold them in place til you wrap them.
That may work, but will the heat hurt my mag?
