I recently bought an ASG Ashbury from Facebook, clever me, anyway i'm trying to find a guide on how to strip it down before I start poking things and lubing stuff I shouldn't. Or if anyone has a manual they wouldn't mind parting with or maybe PDF ing me that would be excellent.

So far my list of things to change

Hop Up
Barrel
Sears

Thanks, already got that bit. Using a variety of screwdrivers i've completely stripped it but there are some screws that need replacing.

Also it was double feeding bb's and getting jammed. I think this could be the bolt not catching on every pull. I can't see why but something is out of alignment and I don't know what. On full pull if it doesn't catch a slight wiggle and it does it 75% of the time, which is annoying.

Im pretty sure on this and the ARES MSR you need to fully load the mag or it will double feed.

Working well with the new magazine in. Not tried it with the old magazines yet. Replaced the hop rubber and the springs in the detents at the rear. Just need to get it crono'd now
Can you shoot the gun when the mag isn't fully loaded?

yep, went through a full mag to empty mag 10 times and the 1st time I stuck it in there was only 10 BB's in the mag. Going to take it to a farm next weekend that I use for a range so need to get some heavier BB's

The ashbury does not requier a full mag to feed properly.

The ashbury however does have the Tokyo Marui L96 styled feeding system.

Furhtermore, it suffers from bb's that get stuck in the feed rail. If yours doesnt have a metal feed rail, you should get one. Polishing the inside of the feed rail also helps alot.

Whenever you get a bb stuck (you'll notice by the bolt suddenly jamming), you could feed the bb through by tilting the gun forward (thus letting the bb roll) and gently pushing the bolt forward.

Another option is stripping the mag, pull the bolt back and let the bb roll out.

We noticed that Ashbury has most feeding issues, if cocked whilest the rifle is tilted up.

Ive worked on about 4 of these.
