Well goretex is tried and tested thats for sure. I prefer the colour on the salomon onces thought and the reviews sound positive aswell. Then again they may just be leaving out the bad reviews on the site..

TBH I don't think you can go wrong with either one. My pick would be the salomon

Both are offered with gore-tex so that is not a major thing. I am currently wearing a pair of salomon shoes (don't remember the model) I have had problems with the soles either wearing out too fast or just coming off. So I worry that is a thing with the boots as well. I have not seen anyone complaining about it, but that does not mean anything.

Prepare for slightly unhelpful input...

The two you've linked are probably nicer at least in some ways given the price tags, but I have to represent for a pair of boots that really surprised me.

Yes, Nikes. $150 Nikes.

My brother works for Nike, my birthday was coming up, and I needed new boots.
Let me tell you, I was blown away. These boots are both the best gift I've ever received and probably some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned, they're super lightweight as well (so much so that when I first received them, I was skeptical about their quality, but...).
Over the summer I put about 200 hours in them on a farm, really working them. They were breathable in pretty serious heat, never got uncomfortable, and show no signs of wear yet. It seems ridiculous for me to say, but after 150 hours on the farm, I would've been quite hesitant to trade these things for any boot on the planet, no matter the price tag. I was that pleased with them.

All that being said, do know that these are only the second pair of boots I've owned, the other being surplus leather jungle boots. So I can't compare the Nikes to something like what you've linked. But if you think you'll be as pleased as I am, I can get you the boots for ~$100. That 40% discount feel :shot:

I did try on a pair of those. I will agree that they are completely comfortable. However, some of the stiching on the inside of the boot would bite into my feet. Even threw my Under Armour boot socks. (Mostly my right foot, at the pivot point for my pinky toe. very uncomfortable.)

I'm honestly not surprised someone would experience this; the super light weight [partially due to minimal material] comes at the cost of having pretty much the same material designed for ruggedness and durability on the outside, contacting your socks on the inside.
I was wearing some fairly thick socks, maybe that's part of why they were always so comfortable for me.

I plan on it. I should have a pretty good grasp of how they are going to wear after the game this weekend.
