I took it out today with the stock spring since aeg springs don’t fit and I was very impressed. I have never worked on an Airsoft rifle and I wanted something easy to deal with. Given the performance I saw today I have just a couple of questions;

I got a shot going left and a shot going right. Not all the time but enough wingers. I do not dislike the stock hop up but I wonder if the fast hop will give me more precision or if I just need to learn how to tweak the stock hop up.

I understand the sport version doesn’t have Barrel spacers. I have some from a gspec bar 10 I wonder how hard it would be to install and whether it’s worth it over just replacing the barrel.

This rifle kicks ass. I love it.

I just ordered mine up and I have a set of g-spec spacers around my workshop, as well as a few other m24 sets. I read that the guns came with the spacers OOTB but that may have been a special circumstance. Mine should be here by end of the week or Monday next week. That's the first thing I'm doing to it so I'll fill you in with what works.

Was it wind perhaps? Maybe you tilted the rifle diffrently?
Assuming you have 2018 model/gen 3, you should get brilliant results ootb. It's just about tweaking the hopup just right, like you said.

Sport comes with 2 barrel spacers.

Fast hop is just that. Fast. Does not, according to most, improve preformence. Just the convinience of up and down adjustment easly on the field.

So I spent yesterday morning trying to sight her in with .36 and .4 g bbs and I could never completely get rid of the left or right curve. I like this rifle but I’m wondering if the other hop may be my answer. I won’t lose any precision with it will I? I need something easier/faster to dial in.

You should definitely try the fast hop.
