I DO like that weapon catch idea. It seems that would work really well. I might do that. But the MP9 will come later as I not only have to save up, but right now I am working to make a good ghillie suit.

Do note that for the weapon catch, you need to attach it to either a very sturdy belt, or sturdy molle panel. Having a full size gun on there will make it wobble. (Even my relatively light G36K wobbles quite a bit)

It can be counteracted by "catching" the gun on the centerpoint of mass, and/or tightening the sling (Magpull MS2/MS3)

The reason the mp9 won't fit is because the stock actually clips into the side of the gun. you wouldn't be able to just put the stock on the outside of the holster unless you infolded it (which is a pain).

Yes mikkelwolf, that is the $150 holster. Well, actually there was a similar one that was $150, but this one, you had to call for a quote on the price...thats never a good thing :0

I have a feeling the weapon catch wouldn't work for the same reason a normal holster wouldn't.

Also, right now i'm talking with another member on this forum who is going to try and make an mp9 holster for me. Ill let you guys know how that goes:)

I'm considering the MP7, and i wish I could get an FPG, but darn those little things are expensive.

I'm pretty happy with a KSC G18c and 2 long 50 rnd mags!!
Lately I'm playing more using assault rifles since the last 2-3 games take place on very small fields.

We have a rule to use only pistol in buildings and my G18 is amazing!! Now I'll start to use a Hi Capa with again long 50rnd mags

On an MP9 the stock clicks into place on a piece on the side-rail. without that, the stock will be flopping around.

You could also go for a Pantac Weapon Catch on your belt.

I love this idea, except that we need to get a sling with width and/or padding to not kill your neck! :)

Of course, a KMP9 with stock extended would weigh next to nothing in that configuration...!

hmmmm... lots of choices. lots and lots.

You know, I wish my KWA mac-11 wasn't dying because then I'd just use that with some upgrades or fun things.

Maybe someone can help. My NS2 KWA Mac-11 fell in the sand and I essentially stripped it completely and power washed every part and reassembled it, but no matter how much lubricant and how many times I re-clean it, It will AT BEST either work only 3/4 of the time on semi auto or not work at all...

What issues does it have?
I wish I can help you... I haven't see a Mac-11.

Like I said, no matter how well I clean and lubricate it, it never fully works. Usually it either will fire on semi after a few "dud" shots where the bolt goes forward and like, half shoots the bb, but then i need to pull it back, and on full auto when i have it running smoothly on semi, it will do a trust of 2 or 3 in full, but then the bolt doesn't come back like a dud shot. And sometimes it doesn't want to work on semi and can dump a whole mag in full auto and vice versa.

EDIT: I will try to make a short video showing what happens and put it on youtube some time in the near future.

I have a JG Tanker (same idea, with a light wire stock) but it still weighs considerably more than a MP7 or similar...
True, but its also considerably more reliable, especially in our specialty, gas guns arent exactly made for crawling through underbrush and dirt. Mabey make one himself? Poly upper and lower, similar to the combat machines made by g&g. Ive owned a KWA mp9, and while the gun was a blast indoors the second I tried to use it outdoors I had problems. Then again I live in the desert where dust is much more of a problem compared to back east or up north. Also if he lives in a cold enviroment green gas guns will not perform as well as they should.

I guess another factor in choosing a gun would be location. Mikkelwolf, what part of the state are you in?

On the rare occasion I use a large sidearm I always bring my Bravo RDW (Dboys PDW). It's small, light, has good magazine capacity, and uses a regular M4 gear box and hop up. Unlike an M4 pistol it has a folding skeleton stock so it stows nice and short and it has a shorter pistol grip so it is less likely to hang up on something. It came out of the box shooting 460 fps which was pretty stupid. I swapped in a PDI 120% spring (330 fps), an AWS mosfet, and a Prometheus barrel. I like the short pistol grip so I milled down an AMP torque motor a friend gave me to fit the grip. I use a 7.4v 20C 1600mah lipo in it and it will run all day. Despite its small size it shoots just the same as a standard M4 and is effective to 125'. The range could be extended but I left the hop up completely stock because I like how flat it shoots. I haven't had any trouble with the PDW mags, but most people hate them (they do feel cheap) but it can use normal M4 mags if desired. If you use the 20rd short mags it makes for a very tidy package. It has QD sling points, and ambi controls.

I bought it used mostly out of curiosity. After using it, I LOVE it! It works for CQB, as a large sidearm, as a primary....it does it all pretty well.

That's very mice... But it's quite heavy.
I've seen quite a few guys that run around withe the BASR and a G3 SAS, most of the time they use the G3 instead of their primary.

You also take fantastic photos... I wish I had the skills to take similar photos.

Valid points all. :) I got razzed on here when I posted a DMR loadout with the tanker as a secondary.:lmao:

It really wasn't THAT terrible, weightwise- but it was definitely far more noticeable than fielding the MP7 or my HK sidearm.

EDIT- Link to the tanker
