are the sear assembly of Ares M40a5 are compatible with VSR too??

for our brother in arms who have bought Ares M40a5 or MCM700X please can any body post a photo of the trigger set/ sear box and sear set so we can do some mods or alternatives for it.. thank you..

I haven't seen the M40 yet but I guess it will be the same as the MSR, it will have a ramp for the bbs from the mag to the hop up.
The triggers are not VSR compatible only the cylinders!
So this is only the half of what you can upgrade!
The trigger is a vital component for the reliability of the gun!

The trigger on the MSR is not that strong.
It's been a couple weeks from it's initial release.
Be patient someone will make a review for it.

But I'd don't expect much.
Ares guns have good externals and crappy unupgradable internals!

Nope never seen in person a Hakkotsu to be honest.
But that's not a M40, it's more a M700 with a cheek piece.

I agree with Wolf, the Hakkotsu "M40A3" is a good gun, but it looks nothing like a M40A3. I have no idea where the M40A3 name came from, maybe the cheek extension? None the less, it looks nothing like a M40A3.

Not at this moment, I'm still trying to fix the co2 issues, so I'm waiting for a few items (which my local DIY show had sold out, Co2 12g and plumbers tape) before I'll pull the entire thing apart and take pictures.

So I've finally received the tape and the co2 cartridges. mounted the cartridges and shot a few rounds. Instant "slow-venting" of the Co2... Needs more debugging before I'll paint it and post pictures.

If anyone wondered, with the new Bolt the pull of it is much shorter and smoother. And it feels weird. Also: stupid takedown to change the co2 cartridges -.-

So now VFC has launched their version of the M40A3. I wonder what the internal quality and compatibility will be like. Im sure a damn side better than the ARES I hope...

I have mixed feelings about Ares and VFC making M40A5's, it takes away the uniqueness of the M40A5 and turning it into just a everyday sight on the field. You don't have to custom build one anymore, it is no longer going to be a unique gun.
