So I buy the m200 last year and yes the stock spring power was CQB awful. IMO, only good for plinking around the yard. Cutting a spring and cramming it in the small cylinder was so annoying and hard to pull back the bolt, so I stuck the stock spring back in and left the gun alone until someone comes out with an upgraded spring just for this gun or something else.
Months later around august or so, I noticed Gas paradise comes out with a co2 kit but is sold out so quickly and never restocked. Totally sucked, so I kept looking around for months until Red Fire released a very similar looking kit for the gun, but one thing that made me wonder about it was the predicted power output of 800+ fps. I asked ehobbyasia if they could test this to make sure if that was right, because no field in the world would allow this gun on it. They were unable to, because of the limited m200's they had, but they sold out of the kit the day before I got paid, grrr. I goggled it and found UNcompany had it and I ordered it immediately. The kit came in a week later and I go to the store to buy some crossman co2 and batteries for my chrono.
First off, I had no idea that there was a difference in crossman gas to other brands. Crossman's were shooting 800-1000fps with .25's. One of my buddies told me that crossman brand is over powered because they were made for pellet guns and to try another brand they use and that is cheaper as well. So I pick up this other brand the next day and rechronoed the gun at 430-600fps. Much better.
Then I got to searching for a barrel and hop-up for the gun. EDGI wanted $200 for just a barrel, which I was not fond of the price for an inner barrel. I searched around on this forum and came across someone mentioning DeepFire. I'm waiting on a response from a distributor on the price of the inner barrel.
So I get to looking for a hop-up and came across Modify Baton Ryusoku flat hop-up and ordered it after someone told me it is the next best thing to an R-hop. I'm the type of person that isnt fond of the kind of modifications to a gun and only able to use one kind of ammo weight and all that stuff that goes into using R-hops. Fits like a glove and OMG does this thing work. Not only does it makes my .3's fly vertical, but it does the same to my .43's if I adjust it too much. If a half a turn on the hop dial can do that to .43's, I am confident that I can get some crazy range with it. I will be getting 3 more of this hop-up for my ACR barrels.
I havent had a proper range test since it has rained everyday I had off of work. So I think mother nature doesnt like me. I'll be using my crossman's purely for target shooting and this other brand for games.
