So I buy the m200 last year and yes the stock spring power was CQB awful. IMO, only good for plinking around the yard. Cutting a spring and cramming it in the small cylinder was so annoying and hard to pull back the bolt, so I stuck the stock spring back in and left the gun alone until someone comes out with an upgraded spring just for this gun or something else.

Months later around august or so, I noticed Gas paradise comes out with a co2 kit but is sold out so quickly and never restocked. Totally sucked, so I kept looking around for months until Red Fire released a very similar looking kit for the gun, but one thing that made me wonder about it was the predicted power output of 800+ fps. I asked ehobbyasia if they could test this to make sure if that was right, because no field in the world would allow this gun on it. They were unable to, because of the limited m200's they had, but they sold out of the kit the day before I got paid, grrr. I goggled it and found UNcompany had it and I ordered it immediately. The kit came in a week later and I go to the store to buy some crossman co2 and batteries for my chrono.

First off, I had no idea that there was a difference in crossman gas to other brands. Crossman's were shooting 800-1000fps with .25's. One of my buddies told me that crossman brand is over powered because they were made for pellet guns and to try another brand they use and that is cheaper as well. So I pick up this other brand the next day and rechronoed the gun at 430-600fps. Much better.

Then I got to searching for a barrel and hop-up for the gun. EDGI wanted $200 for just a barrel, which I was not fond of the price for an inner barrel. I searched around on this forum and came across someone mentioning DeepFire. I'm waiting on a response from a distributor on the price of the inner barrel.

So I get to looking for a hop-up and came across Modify Baton Ryusoku flat hop-up and ordered it after someone told me it is the next best thing to an R-hop. I'm the type of person that isnt fond of the kind of modifications to a gun and only able to use one kind of ammo weight and all that stuff that goes into using R-hops. Fits like a glove and OMG does this thing work. Not only does it makes my .3's fly vertical, but it does the same to my .43's if I adjust it too much. If a half a turn on the hop dial can do that to .43's, I am confident that I can get some crazy range with it. I will be getting 3 more of this hop-up for my ACR barrels.

I havent had a proper range test since it has rained everyday I had off of work. So I think mother nature doesnt like me. I'll be using my crossman's purely for target shooting and this other brand for games.

Hi guys, I'm new to this forum and I just joined since I wanted an M200 for additional to my collection. The most affordable M200 is the Beta Project and as Radium I'm too want to get the Red Fire CO2 upgrade.

Before I pushase the item I want to know more review about it. Any leaks or internal damage so far using the CO2 conversion kit? Deos the kit come with manual and is it easy for installation?

maybe that's all for now, I want the gun and power upgrade as a start. Thank you in advance

No leaks, but a common thing to go bad is an O-ring inside the air nozzle. So dont do what I did and accidentally leave a cartridge with gas still in it. The O-ring will deform and then you'll have leaking gas, but its an easy fix, but I dont know the size of the O-ring. I just got 3 of them from work and keep 2 as spares.

Heed my warning about using crossman co2. It is a pain in the butt to have to change co2 during a game, so you might want to bring a brightly colored rag to put all the parts on when refilling gas, or you will lose something.

I have extra sorbo pads and I stuck one on the inside of the cylinder where the parts strike against each other to decrease any possible wear. Not exactly sure if it brings down the FPS any, but if it does, then it would be good, cause even using lower powered co2 is still really strong.

I will try to make a video one day showing everything of what I just explained. But be aware that this is a HEAVY rifle, so its not something you're gonna be running around with like your conventional sniper rifles in airsoft. I am currently trying to get a custom pack made just for this gun, but it will require the gun to be broke down into its two halves. The pack will keep everything low profile on your back so it wont hit and snag on things when going through the woods and junk.

Thank you for your reply Radium, I'll keep in my mind for that information. By the way, how many rounds for a piece of CO2 tube (12g i believe) can last? Eager to see your video :D
its not exact, but between 10-15 rounds. So being at the maximum distance is key, that and the sound of the gun will really give you away.

im trying to add my Red Fire Co2 Cylinder to my beta project but I don't know how to take it apart can anyone help me thanks???
Just curious, have you taken the time to read the instructions first? It's pretty much a no brainer, but also you're gonna need some allen Wrenches too.

bringing back this thread, i have the redfire c02 conversion, but re-installing a c02 cartridge is a PAIN in my ass. has anyone had this problem and what can i do to fix?
there really isnt a fix for it. I've been trying to get a hold of a couple of people here to see if they can make a propane cylinder, but I havent gotten any replies. Using the Co2 kid is pretty much a no go on any field since the gun shoots way over a thousand with .48g.

Ahh, I see. Do you know of any other companies that put out a lower FPS?

I probably need your help. I've purchased a RedFire Co2 conversion and installed it, the problem is it's not working.
I put in a Co2 Powerlet, Tightened it up as tight as I could, re-installed the bolt, cocked it and on pushing the bolt forwards there was a small gas escape and when I tried to fire, no response except the click of the mechanism ?
Is there a part missing from my kit as I noticed you mentioned 'O' ring and there ain't one..
