Hi,
I searched the whole site and the internet, I can't seem to find a list of solutions for night sniping in airsoft. So I tough I'd ask you guys to help me make a list.
I can see with the naked eye in the woods at about 20 meters distance max, most of the time it's 10 meters, so I have to beat that.
The main idea is to have something that has a viewing range of 100 meters (~300 feet) or at least 50 meters (150 feet), that can be mounted on the gun replacing the sniper scope or being added to it. Now there are solutions from 100 to 2000 or more dollars so if you have something to add please put the price to.
There is a problem in the european union because you are not allowed to have night vision scopes, only night vision goggles... I don't think you can look trough a scope with the googles (can you?)

So:
1)Name: Yukon NVRS Tactical 2.5x50 Night Vision Rifle Scope
Link: Yukon NVRS Tactical 2.5x50 Night Vision Rifle Scope, Weaver Mount
Max range: 220 yards (182 meters)
Price: 650$

2) mini camera with night mode and a powerful ir flashlight/laser
Max range: max shooting distance
40-100$

4)Yukon NVRS Titanium 2.5x50 Night Vision Rifle Scope FREE S&H 26013WL. Yukon Night Vision Riflescopes.

Max range: 100-200 yards
500$

5)In research
Arduino based night vision system
Probably around 100 to 200 euros

I like option 2 as you can record your kills and is cheaper. You could also search local pawnshops for cameras with night more or sony nightshot. While keeping a budget too.

What Rubiksklube means, is that Airsoft sites often have too expensive and low quality rifle scopes.

Youre better off with airrifle scopes for instance.

Also, the nightvision scope he posts is still not legal. (I have the same issue regarding NVG's)

You'd need to rig something up like a digital cam, or a monocular NVG modded for your scope. This will make for a very long and bulky setup though.

Also, a laser would likely work, but be rather blinding and dangerous if you use it wrong.
Unless its a Class I laser, you could "severely" blind someone using a scope/optic. Go even higher to say, class III....youre just being unresponsible.

Thanks for the info.

I have a friend with one of those cheap nv (300 euros i think) and it is truly useless in a night fight especially in a forest, you are better off with a filtered flashlight or just with the naked eye.

I did some research and I think I have a DIY idea, it involves a mini lcd/led display, a infrared camera (or sensor), a mcu (like arduino), a ir flashlight, a ir laser (for precision at distance) and a rifle scope (I saw some that are better in low light than others).

I want to build something that has the display part attached to my helmet and the detection part on the rifle, that way you can easily scout while walking and of course aim :D
