So I got A and K m24 recently and I have been having trouble getting the correct upgrades for it so far I have this ready to order:

https://www.airsoftatlanta.com/products/action-army-type-96-m150-spring

I recently ordered an APS2 spring and it did not fit I found that one as a recommendation else where can someone confirm that will fit the piston?

and a Dangerwerks type B hop up arm already installed from my old VSR that finally died.

Im hitting about 430 FPS for average

Im trying to hit just under the 500 FPS mark as that is my fields cap with a .2

and I want to put out .4 bbs and have them actually effected by the hop up arm.

currently it can shoot .4 but it maybe goes 100-150 ft and Im having to adjust my scope to have the BB fall into the target which isn't ideal.

so more or less what bucking would go good with the dangerwerks type b arm and what barrel would help me achieve my goals?

I imagine the issue is the stock barrel and bucking

im looking at this: https://www.airsoftatlanta.com/coll...-decepticons-hop-up-bucking-70-degree-vsr-gbb

andhttps://www.airsoftatlanta.com/products/madbull-6-03mm-tightbore-barrel-517mm-vsr10-m28?variant=5969640456221

however Im not sure what size the stock barrel is?

Maple leaf Autobot bucking (60°-70°)
Maple leaf concave hoparm (for vsr)

I'm pretty sure I have that spring in mine. It's longer, but works. Stock spring (for me) shot at 2.5J with 0.48g bbs, that'd translate to 500fps on 0.2g bbs, not including joule creep. It's all about getting good airseal.

Barrel, you'll sadly have to remove the alignment lugs in the hopup chamber, otherwise no aftermarket barrel will fit. Pretty sure the stock barrel length is 520.

I highly recommend getting a TDC aswell, as the hopup adjuster is unstable and can adjust itself down.

A&K cylinder uses the VSR system springs instead of APS2.

The stock hopup unit needs some modding to serve a VSR barrel group but it shouldn't be insanely difficult. Alternatively you can buy the TNT kit for it.

Thank you everyone that gave me some tips I ended up going with

maple leaf 70 degree bucking

madbull-6-03mm-tightbore-barrel-517mm-vsr10-m28 no bridge

action army AP2/L96 m150 spring.

+ gun and few extra mags

490FPS .2

350FPs .4

total was roughly 300$ which is fantastic!

after a slight modification to the hop up housing removing the 2 little nubs

This gun is shooting like a dream!

hitting upwards of 250ft-300ft consistently with the hop up barely turned on

I didnt do the TDC mod wasn't comfortable with drilling into my rifle and apparently it wasn't needed I did however find a stronger spring for the adjustment to make it more clicky and much stiffer so it all worked out.

next real thing to work on is the magazines as they get stuck in the gun a lot so looking for a solution for that now.

Fireing off an extra round with the mag button pressed down usually makes it just drop out of the gun but its not ideal.
