Hello All, I am happy to be working again on my pistol after having it down for a month or two and am working towards my end goal of having a pistol I can use as a primary with HPA, and then switch to gas as a secondary. I have a couple of questions for people like yourselves.

First, in regards to HPA, is there an effective difference between SLP and non-SLP? I am thinking of getting the Amped Airsoft SLP regulator and tank combo, cuz it's cheaper and seems like it holds its own.

Second, also in regards to HPA. Murder box, or drum magazine? I want to do murder box, but the extra hoses and things seems like a hassle as opposed to a drum magazine such as one made by TAPP Airsoft.

Third, how the heck do you keep the thumb safety from wiggling on a Hi-Capa? I hate wiggles, and they never go away.

Fourth, does anyone have a KJW KP-05 they want to get rid of? I just want the slide and stuff.

Fifth and Final, for short stroking, do you guys use either rubber shock absorbers, or extra springs (example: AIP enhanced recoil spring) And with short stroking, should I be doing anything else to my pistol besides adding some sort of buffer?

Thanks ya'll!

Slp vs non slp, difference is that slp regulators has to be used with tank that output 300psi, where non slp Can be used with both 300psi and 800 psi tanks.

Amped slp reg(arx20) i have 3 and have been happy with Them last 4 years, they have worked without flaws.

I asked a similar question a few weeks ago.

Drum or murderbox, having never used any of Them, so take it for What its worth... i would go with myrder box because i dont want to make my pistol bulkier or weigh my pistol down with a heavy drum mag. I still prefer normal 30 bb mags over 50 bb mags so i might not be the target group for drum/box questions.

Thumb safety, how does it wiggle? If its up and Down, theres a spring between two sticks that goes though the lower putting pressure on the thumbsafety. try stretching the spring just a bit.

I use rubber buffers, they work well. If You stay moderate, Nothing Else is needed.

but if u shortstroke it alot You might need a stronger nozzle spring. If u shortstroke it to the point where the nozzle just cleares the feeding lips on the mag u Will need an uprated nozzle spring and two piece guiderod to be able to get the guiderod in there with all the buffers on it.
I short stroke my pistols to the point where i Can get the guiderod out in 1 piece, just for Ease of use. I have to stretch my uprated nozzle spring every once in a while to keep pistol from having feeding issues.

In regards to my thumb safety, they just wiggle around because of the triangle on the bar, and the hole for the triangle in the other. I just broke a safety because I was tired of them wiggling, but realized I forgot the detent. So ordering a new safety anyways! But yes, it is one safety wiggling on the other, not wiggling in place.

With the nozzle spring, as I had issues with my last nozzle (I broke that too), what if there was some sort of semi-soft solid that was inside of the spring? The nozzle only needs to go so far, and going past the o-ring is a waste of time and gas. Have you heard of anyone, in essence, short stroking their nozzle? I tried that with a very small guide rod from another pistol, but I think that because the guide was metal and the nozzle wasn't, one had to give. Maybe using some sort of rubber or another spring to make it stop going forward past a point. If one used the UAC metal nozzle, I think that this would be possible with using a metal guide rod of sorts, but there would be a lot of wear on the BBU and spring.

I have never heard of someone shortstroking the nozzle. Personally i dont Think it Will make a difference on gas usage. The uac nozzle is durable, mine did show wear in the spring track But that was after alot of use.

If it was me i would go after a nozzle that gives a tighter fit to your bbu to get better gas milage. Gunsmith Bros are my favorit for getting a better seal, But as its a question of fitment to the bbu it might not be same for You.
