well there is a lot to consider...

How invested are you into this sport?
Have you played the sniper role before or are you thinking its just the coolest position?
Do you have any field craft to draw upon?
Have you hunted before?
Played Paintball?
Are you looking into MILSIM? or just backyard plinking?

I can go on with this list... but you need to consider what you really want to do first.. (Scout/Sniper, DM, Rifleman, Support) that will help us give you good advise.. I could spout off 3 weapons you absolutely must have
and the next guy will tell you exactly the opposite. See where I'm getting at?

THat is a great list of weapon systems posted here...
My main Advice is get a Spring Sniper Rifle and an AEG DM as back up or for moving into the field.
many fields that host MILSIM sometimes say NO SNIPING for safety reasons.
So it's just better to be prepared.
