Hello,
I recently acquired a used Tanaka m700 aics.
It already has a creation hopup housing installed but I need to disassemble it in order to place in the inner barrel that just slipped out for some reason (I have never heard that happening before).
The problem is that the pins holding in the creation housing are extremely tight! Does anyone else have this problem?
I tried hammering them out with full force and they barely budged.
If anyone could help that would be great.
I plan to replace the metal pins if I remove them with custom fitted ones.
Thanks!

Seems kind of obvious and you may already have tried but have you tried hammering either side of the chamber, most of these pins usually go in one way and need to be punched out that way even if the hole is just .01mm bigger it can make all the difference.

If you have and failed I would try using a 1mm - 2mm Allen screw or a tiny Philipshead as a punch you get the most amount of force applied onto the pin then.

Well I tried hammering on both sides without any luck but I will try a small Allen screw. Although wouldn't be the same force applied but just to a smaller spot?

I am desperate here as I have an upcoming game. Anyone have a good technique to drill out the pins holding in the creation chamber without ruining it? All I have is a very powerful hand drill.
Any advice to help solve my unfortunate problem would be highly appreciated.
Thanks!

If you have replacement pins I'd just go ahead and directly drill either the exact diameter of the pins or maybe a little more since it sounds like its a pretty tight fit.

If you can find the source of resistance just drill up to that point and then knock the pin out.

Either way you should be prepared to replace the pins.

Why do you need to take it apart? Why not just adjust externally?

Or, if the hop is stuck, tune your bb weight. A temporary fix, but it will solve the issue for the game.
Well actually here is what really happened. I wanted to take off the outer barrel to push out the end cap to put on a silencer adapter. Then I noticed that the inner barrel was very lose. I pulled slightly on it and it just came out of the hupup chamber!
So pretty much the gun is useless without an inner barrel and I can't place it back in without removing the hopup chamber which is stuck in with two extremely tight pins.
So it's not just a problem with the hopup bucking itself.
Thanks though. ;)
